★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is good, especially for the value. We did the 20 piece omakase set at the sushi counter and had a good experience. There were lots of tasty and stand out pieces as part of the set. Good variety overall. The manager was very nice and hospitable - a highlight for me. She even gave us an extra bite at the end of our meal which was a lovely touch and very appreciated. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because my friend and I felt something didn't sit right later in the evening which leads me to believe something could have been off with the food quality. But it's hard to say since everything tasted fine in the moment. But we both felt this way. When it comes to omakase, although the experience was enjoyable, I wouldn't consider this place my go-to.
February 22 · Bailey Jaworskifrom the food to the staff’s welcoming service, i had a great experience here! i highly recommend the 12 course omakase, chasing amy sushi rolls, & the salmon/tuna crispy rice. can’t wait to come back here !! 🫶🏼
March 06 · Megan MasilunganTried omakase here and also ordered their crispy rice with tuna and salmon. Everything was spot on and delicious. We sat at the sushi counter for the full on experience and had a great time. The crispy rice was so good that we ordered another round for our party of 6. Reasonably priced and delicious.
May 11 · Mahima SrivastavaHad Sushi on Jones years ago. Came back yesterday with my boyfriend and had a great dinner there. Fish are fresh. I had other omakase "on the budget" before, like Sushi by Bou, Sushi M and Shinn East. I had to say Sushi on Jones fish is better than the ones I named. The fish may be from the same supplier or market, but the way to cut or treat the fish is important for sashimi.I also like how the chef pay attention to detail. He would take the right amount of to make the pieces he is ready to serve us, instead of leavingnit out. This way, throughout the course the rice is kept warm. For a $65, 12-course omakase that comes with A5 Wagyu and O-toro, whatelse to ask for?Great experience here and will return for another lunch or dinner.
February 18 · Amy WuBeen to this place years ago in the Bowery location. Came to this place today for a quick Omakase experience. $68 for 12 pcs. Which is pretty reasonable price but here’s why the one star. The fish they use for Omakase is CHEAP AND LEAN. The chef never ask us how is everything, how’s the food etc. He was preparing materials for later time and preparing other table’s food WHILE HE IS SERVING US Omakase. This is not even omakase, is just cheap sushi given to you one piece by one piece but charge you triple of the price of what it should be. Here’s are the photos, not one piece have uni. Lol. This is a joke. Could’ve get all that from a la carte for around $30?
