## What is Worth Choosing: The True Tastes of Sweet Wonton King
When navigating the extensive menu at Sweet Wonton King, the best choices are often found in the restaurant’s specialties—the traditional, deep-rooted Cantonese staples. It's an opportunity to move beyond General Tso’s Chicken and experience the true comfort of Southern Chinese cooking.
A definitive must-try is any of the Wonton Noodle Soups. The Shrimp & Pork Wonton W. Bone Soup provides a clean, savory broth base that is the foundation of classic Cantonese noodle dining. For breakfast or a lighter meal, the Congee selection is unmatched in its variety and quality; the Pork W. Preserved Egg Congee is a rich, satisfying classic that perfectly embodies Chinese comfort food.
The Clay Pot Rice dishes, particularly the HK Style Sausage Pot Rice, offer a rewarding flavor profile. While one customer review mentioned an issue with a specific clay pot dish, this cooking style remains a popular and essential part of the menu, and the positive reception of other key dishes suggests overall quality control. In particular, the Beef W. Tomato dish is noted by customers as being "on point," indicating a high level of execution on the simpler, traditional stir-fries.
Ultimately, choosing Sweet Wonton King means choosing an authentic, casual, and value-conscious dining experience in Flushing. The combination of easy accessibility, free parking, all-day Dim Sum, and expertly prepared soups and rice dishes solidifies its position as a highly valuable local resource for genuine Chinese comfort food.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was the worst clay pot mushroom chicken rice ever !! The chicken given was dry..rubbery and tasteless!! There was no mushroom as asked for!! Clay pot rice a very famous traditional Chinese rice meal with Ingredients placed on top of a bed of uncooked rice inside a clay bowl and cooked all at once, so all the ingredients flavor seep into the rice made by this restaurant has destroyed the true meaning of a Clay pot rice meal!! Please, stay away from this restaurant!! The restaurant is giving good Chinese food a bad name !! Too bad there’s a no star rating !! It’s amazing that this restaurant actually sold this dish !!! 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤬😡
August 05 · Kam T. YuenA good chinese place the beef chow fun is pricey at like 17 but it was good. Beef with tomato was on pointGeneral Tso: 5/10, it was underwhelming and no sauce to speak of, the meat was good quality. That's about it.Beef and Tomatoe: 7/10 it was decent.
September 06 · Silvio LeeA lovely traditional Cantonese spot tucked away from the hustle of central Flushing. Can’t wait to come back and try their congee, seafood dishes, and traditional soups — everything looks incredible.
July 05 · Olivia LoStopped by for Dimsum with family as it was nearby and convenient. LOVED their Wontons, Rice Rolls, 3-Types Flavored Dumplings, Shrimp & Chive Panfried Dumplings, and their Bone Soups aka Brodo! The kids ate all of the Young Chow Fried Rice and House Special Stir Fried Ho Fun Noods. They even have my fave Mango Pudding & Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls! Food and service was great. Place is brand new and clean - good spot for groups of 6-8 pple. The lunch specials are amazing, too $9.99, so I will definitely be back! 😋 Got their Lemon Iced Tea to go - not a lot of places make it this fresh and good!
July 27 · Nancy NanceI was really looking forward to enjoying a good meal, but unfortunately, this place fell short. The "beef vegetable" dish was a joke - it came with beef and sprouts, but no actual vegetables. The beef stew looked stale and old, like it had been sitting out for hours, exposed to the open air.The noodles or whatever that was, looked like toy food, and the taste was disgusting. Everything about the meal was terrible. The food was so bad it even made my teeth sensitive, like I had just drunk battery acid.Honestly, if I wasn't so hungry, I wouldn't have even bothered eating this subpar food. Thankfully, my grandmother didn't get sick from eating it. Needless to say, I won't be back.
