Yeh's Bakery is perfectly situated at 57-25 Main St, Flushing, NY 11355, USA. This address places it squarely in one of the most dynamic and easily accessible neighborhoods in all of New York City, making it incredibly convenient for Queens residents and visitors alike. Main Street in Flushing is a major artery, synonymous with authentic Asian cuisine and culture, and Yeh's Bakery fits right in, adding its own delicious layer to the community.
For those utilizing public transportation, the bakery's Main Street location is highly accessible. It’s just a short distance from the major transit hubs, including the 7 subway line terminus and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station at Flushing-Main Street, making it easy to pop in whether you're commuting or making a special trip. The high volume of pedestrian traffic in the area ensures that Yeh's is an ideal spot for a quick visit, whether you are on your way to work, running errands, or simply exploring the unique shops of Flushing, NY. While amenities like dedicated parking can be tricky to find in this busy section of Queens, the exceptional accessibility via subway and bus routes more than makes up for it. Yeh's Bakery focuses on providing service options that cater to the fast-paced, on-the-go lifestyle of New Yorkers, ensuring you can enjoy their delicious offerings with maximum convenience. They specialize in a few key service areas designed to get you your favorite cakes and pastries quickly and easily.
- Takeout: The primary and most common way patrons enjoy Yeh's, allowing for a quick selection of treats to take home or enjoy elsewhere. This is ideal for those who are in a hurry but refuse to compromise on quality.
- Delivery: For those days when you can't make it to the bakery or are hosting an event, delivery service is available, bringing their sought-after baked goods directly to your door.
- Breakfast: The bakery’s operating hours and array of light, tasty pastries make it a perfect spot to grab an early morning bite, offering a delightful alternative to standard coffee shop fare.
- Coffee: A selection of coffee is offered, providing the perfect pairing for their cakes and pastries, making for a complete and satisfying morning or afternoon treat.
What sets Yeh's Bakery apart is the distinct quality and specific focus of their menu. This is a place where every item is crafted with precision, resulting in an experience that many customers describe as "heavenly." They may not offer the massive selection of some larger Asian bakeries, but what they do, they do exceptionally well.
- The Best Sponge Cake: This is arguably the bakery’s top feature. Customers consistently rave about the airy, moist, and perfectly textured sponge cakes, available in various flavors like Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Green Tea. The round sponge cake with a citrus filling is also a noteworthy favorite that receives high marks. The quality here is unparalleled, making it a signature item.
- Original Boston Cream Pie: A surprisingly standout item for a Chinese bakery, the Boston Cream Pie Original is so highly regarded that one customer quickly returned to purchase an entire cake after trying just a single slice. It's a must-try for any first-time visitor. They also offer a Boston Cream Pie Strawberry variation.
- Savory Pastry Standouts: While the bakery shines with its sweets, don’t overlook the savory side. The Curry Beef Dumpling is a clear five-star winner according to local reviews, described as the best item by some patrons. The Chicken Roll is another popular savory option, though it is noted to contain a generous amount of onions.
- Authentic Chinese and Taiwanese Specialties: The menu features authentic items rarely found elsewhere, such as the Wife Cake with Melon Sugar Filling, Taiwanese Honey Cake, and various Taiwanese Pineapple Cookies, offering a true taste of traditional Asian baking.
- Cash-Only Policy: This is a crucial detail for all visitors to know. Yeh's Bakery operates on a cash-only basis. While this can be a slight inconvenience for some, it is also seen by customers as a sign of the bakery’s popularity and focus on efficiency, suggesting they are so busy and successful that they can maintain this policy. Be sure to stop by an ATM before your visit to ensure a smooth purchase.
- "No Cutlery" Policy: It's important to note an unusual item on the menu, a charge listed as "The Store Does Not Provide Cutlery Cutlery" at an exorbitant price. While this is clearly a symbolic item or a placeholder, it serves as a factual, albeit quirky, reminder that the bakery is focused on takeout and does not typically include or provide plastic cutlery with orders, especially for single-slice or pastry purchases. Plan to have your own if needed.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tried this bakery for the first time and bought 3 items. They didn’t have a large selection of Chinese pastries like some of the other bakeries (no roast pork buns, pineapple buns etc). The curry beef pastries were the best! 5 stars for those. The chicken pastries were ok, too much onions and the not much chicken (3 stars). The round sponge cake with lemon was also very good (4 stars). Service was friendly.
June 10 · Dolly GiordanoCash only - this is my only gripeThis may be the best sponge cake I've ever head. It's heavenly. The single slice of the Boston Cream I got was so good, I quickly went in and grabbed another entire cake lol.The other cakes were also good, however the Boston Cream definitely is by far and away the best one. I also liked the one with the citrus filling as well (pic below).Overall, very solid place. Just honestly hate that they're cash only. But honestly, they must be so busy and popular that they can do it. Will be back!
January 04 · Saddmun AhsanExcellent bakery! I've enjoyed everything I've tried here. The custard tarts are among the best I've ever had. Delicate, eggy, not too sweet. Obsessed with the Boston cream pie. Great cookies, I especially love the peanut and almond ones. I also like the curry beef puffs, sponge cakes, buns, moon cakes.
