T & D Bakery Introduce
For nearly four decades, T & D Bakery has been more than just a place to buy bread and pastries; it has been a cornerstone of authentic Italian baking tradition in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. Started by Domenico Del Ponte and his wife Tina in 1983, this mom-and-pop shop—now run by their four children—represents three generations of dedication to family recipes and multi-generational craftsmanship. It is the kind of neighborhood institution that New Yorkers cherish: a place where the atmosphere is charming and classic, and the commitment to quality and history is evident in every bite.
T & D Bakery is renowned for offering a huge variety of items, encompassing everything from daily bread to elaborate holiday confections. For locals, it's a dependable source for soft, fresh Italian bread, but the offerings extend far beyond. It’s a one-stop-shop for celebrating life's milestones, with customers recommending it for birthday parties, weddings, and "any special event." The longevity and commitment of the Del Ponte family to their craft and community have cemented T & D Bakery’s reputation as an authentic connection to Brooklyn's rich Italian heritage. While the bakery’s consistency is generally praised, its status as a high-volume, neighborhood pillar means patrons value the chance to shop "Saturday mornings for the freshest pastries and a lively neighborhood buzz."

December 20 · Evoria LopezWent in the yesterday after being a loyal customer for years. They sold me stale rugula pastries for $19 per pound! I spent $50 on old stale baked goods! Stay away from this rip off!
August 29 · Smokey MeowWe have bought our holiday cakes for our co-op's holiday party from T&D for years and never been disappointed by their quality or prices. When you walk in to the bakery the smell confirms that this is a legit old time Italian bakery that people often talk about when bringing up memories of the childhood in the glory days of Italian bakeries. And for those who know...they don't fill your cannoli until after you order it!
December 17 · Brooklyn NeilI work across the street from this bakery. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I purchased several times their Sugar free danishes. Also love their pistachio biscotti and pistachio muffins FRESH & DELICIOUS❣I bought GIFT CERTIFICATES for coworkers for Christmas. 👍🏽😊
