Teuscher Fifth Avenue Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Teuscher Fifth Avenue stands as a testament to the art of Swiss chocolate-making, bringing a taste of European luxury and tradition to the heart of New York City. Since its founding over eighty years ago in the Swiss Alps, Teuscher has earned a global reputation for its exquisite confections, and the Fifth Avenue boutique serves as a prominent North American flagship. Nestled in the historic Channel Gardens at Rockefeller Center, the shop provides an enchanting experience that is both elegant and whimsical. The interior is known for its beautiful and often seasonal decorations, featuring colorful fantasy flowers and unique character boxes that make the perfect gift. This visual appeal is matched by the promise of high-quality chocolate, as all products are made in Zürich using original family recipes and flown in weekly to ensure peak freshness. The commitment to using the finest, all-natural ingredients without chemicals, additives, or preservatives is at the core of the Teuscher philosophy, ensuring a pure and rich flavor in every bite. While the brand is known for its high standards and luxury pricing, its centerpiece, the world-famous Champagne Truffle, has become an iconic treat for connoisseurs and casual chocolate lovers alike. The shop offers a wide variety of chocolates, from classic pralines and marzipans to an array of truffles with unique fillings. For anyone seeking an indulgent, high-end chocolate experience that feels both traditional and uniquely New York, Teuscher Fifth Avenue is a destination worth exploring.
The shop's history and dedication to its craft are part of its allure. The company still uses recipes passed down from its founder, Dolf Teuscher Sr., a master chocolate maker who created over a hundred varieties of chocolate. While some may find the taste to be different from their expectations, the brand's long-standing reputation and a dedicated following of customers who have enjoyed the products for years speak to its quality. The focus on authenticity and tradition, rather than chasing trends, is a hallmark of the brand. This makes a visit to Teuscher not just a shopping trip but a step into a rich history of fine confectionery, offering a unique product that has delighted palates for generations.

Teuscher Fifth Avenue Reviews
Bought a bar of this chocolate yesterday. I was really surprised by the very low quality of the chocolate itself. Very generic taste, no snap, no aroma, mostly resembles cheap compound chocolate. Truly disappointed. Any chocolate bar you find at a pharmacy counter will be tastier (and much cheaper ;-) )
June 30 · Vladimir SerebryanyBought several individual liquor chocolates from the display. All tasted about the same with no flavor, dried up and one tasted like a stale box. Very disappointed. The sample they offered was edible. Damaging to a reputed brand that I enjoyed for years.
August 04 · sushrut parikhSmooth milk chocolate not too sweet, perfect to eat right away at the bench outside, people watching and listening to piped music
June 05 · Stacy MooreMy girlfriends favorite chocolate spot. I would have given 5 stars but $125 for a pound is crazy expensive. I know they are flown in from Switzerland but does the chocolate really need to fly first class??!! Doesn’t matter a picked up some for my girl.
October 14 · Lou RizzoWhen it comes to quality Swiss chocolates, Teuscher is by far the BEST establishments in all of New York City!! The store is so easy to find with it being right there in Rockefeller Center and the store is absolutely charming. If you love QUALITY Swiss chocolates then you will love this little haven of deliciousness. Their champagne truffles are out of this world!!!
