★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It looks beautiful from the outside, it pulls you in. Inside is cozy, only 3 tables. The girls who work there are super nice. The coffee was delicious but the food, I have to say, looked better than what it tasted.Online, the menu looked larger, but in there, they had fewer options
April 26 · Carolina CohenTextbook Bakery has the most delicious vegan cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had—soft, gooey, and packed with flavor! Their cookies are just as incredible. I stopped by during their vegan ice cream pop-up and got to try a variety of items from their menu—everything was spectacular. The staff are friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, and the owners are incredibly kind and clearly passionate about their craft. This place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves amazing vegan treats or non vegan too. 💬🩵
May 15 · josie cottHad a great latte the first time I came. Second time it was the lightest matcha I’d ever gotten in my life and they didn’t have lids which I didn’t mind but once I got a cup of milk with a splash of matcha I was annoyed
June 30 · Karmen TownsendI was walking down DeKalb the other day thinking to myself "you know what we need more of? Opinions and viewpoints on politics and social issues...but in RESTAURANTS!". And like a beacon in the night, I saw Shoof Burger had joined forces with Textbook.Seriously though, everything is overpriced and not that great. On a related note, regardless of your political opinion or stance on a particular issue...can we just cool it a bit and not inject politics into every aspect of life? Just put the fries in the bag, man.
September 26 · J GoldenbergEverything I’ve tried here has been absolute PERFECTION. The vegan breakfast sandwich was delicious - so fresh and made to order with scrambled mung bean, vegan cheddar, fake bacon and tomatoes. My absolutely favorite is the lunch. I came in two days in a row just to get the truffle tuna sandwich. It’s like nothing I’ve ever had before. So tasty, fresh and the flavors do so well together. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and he was saying it’s the best he’s ever had. Love the guys running things. Super friendly and lifelong New Yorkers building a lovely spot in the community. My new favorite place.
