The Alice Cocktail Experience Introduce
In a city known for its endless entertainment options, The Alice Cocktail Experience stands out as a truly unique destination. This is not your typical bar. Located on the Upper West Side, this immersive pop-up bar takes you on a whimsical journey inspired by the world of Wonderland. It's a theatrical, alternate reality experience designed to delight and entertain. The atmosphere is cozy and trendy, making it a great place for a memorable night out with a group of friends. Guests are encouraged to participate in the fun, solving riddles and engaging with the characters to create their own cocktails. As one reviewer noted, the staff is "the best part of the experience," as they go above and beyond to include everyone and make the night fun. The decor, while not "mind blowing," effectively contributes to the ambiance, creating a visually stimulating environment for photos and fun. It's an experience that stimulates your mind and your sense of humor, as another guest mentioned, they were "entertained into laughter" and their mind was "stimulated by the riddles we had to solve."
The Alice Cocktail Experience is located at 594 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024. Situated on the Upper West Side, this location makes it accessible to a wide range of New Yorkers and visitors. The neighborhood is known for its vibrant energy and is well-served by public transportation, making it easy to get to. While specific parking information isn't provided, being in a central Manhattan location means that paid street parking and various garages are likely available nearby. The venue is also dedicated to being accessible to all guests, with a wheelchair-accessible restroom available. The location is an important part of the experience, offering a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and a convenient meeting point for groups looking for a unique activity.
The Alice Cocktail Experience offers a focused and curated set of services to create a truly immersive event. The entire experience is a carefully planned journey for you and your friends, with a clear structure and plenty of room for fun. Here is a closer look at the key services and offerings available:
Dine-in Only Immersive Experience: Unlike a traditional bar, The Alice is a dine-in-only experience that you purchase tickets for in advance. The event is a 90-minute theatrical performance where you are part of the show. You get a welcome shooter when you arrive, followed by two custom cocktails you make yourselves. One is made by solving riddles to gather ingredients, and the other you get to paint. It's a truly hands-on and interactive experience.
Great Cocktails: The experience is centered around its great cocktails. While some reviews mention that they are more about the experience than the strength of the drinks, the cocktails are consistently praised for being creative and delicious. The interactive element of making your own drink adds to the enjoyment and makes it a memorable part of the night. A separate bar is also available for guests to purchase additional drinks if they wish to linger after the theatrical portion of the evening ends.
Food and Hard Liquor: While the primary focus is on cocktails and the experience, the bar offers a selection of food and a variety of hard liquors. This ensures that all guests have what they need to have a great time, whether they want a light bite or a specific type of spirit.
Fast Service: Despite the structured and entertaining nature of the experience, the staff is known for their fast and efficient service. They keep the night moving smoothly, ensuring that you have everything you need without any long waits, which is crucial for a timed event.
What sets The Alice Cocktail Experience apart from other bars in NYC are its unique features and highlights that make it a truly special destination. These elements work together to create an unforgettable night out that is a must for anyone looking for something different to do.
Immersive and Theatrical: The entire experience is a performance. Guests are greeted by characters like the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit and are encouraged to solve riddles to create their drinks. This level of immersion makes it a highly engaging and entertaining event that goes beyond a typical night at a bar. One reviewer called it an "amazing experience" that should be on everyone's "to do list for a fun night in NYC."
Engaging and Friendly Staff: The staff is a key highlight of the experience. They stay in character and do their best to involve every guest, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. One customer noted that the staff was "the best part of the experience" and made the night truly special. Their ability to be accommodating and "cheeky" adds to the overall fun and makes it feel like a personal and engaging event.
Custom and Creative Cocktails: The opportunity to make your own cocktails is a major draw. The concept of solving riddles to unlock ingredients and "painting" your drink with edible paint makes the process as much a part of the fun as the drink itself. This creativity is a highlight that you can't find at a standard bar.
Cozy and Trendy Atmosphere: The decor is carefully crafted to transport you into the world of Wonderland. The beautiful decorations and intricate details contribute to a cozy and trendy atmosphere that is perfect for taking photos and immersing yourself in the experience. It's a great spot for groups looking for a unique and Instagram-worthy night out.
To secure your spot at this popular and in-demand experience, it's essential to plan ahead and book your tickets in advance. The Alice Cocktail Experience is located at 594 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024. As this is an event, direct phone numbers for the venue itself may be more focused on a different business, but a general phone number for the experience itself is (646) 974-9070. The best way to secure your spot is often through online ticket portals. Due to the timed nature and limited capacity of each session, booking in advance is crucial to ensure you don't miss out on this unique and fun night in New York City. You can find more information and book your tickets online to ensure a smooth and hassle-free process.
The Alice Cocktail Experience is worth choosing for anyone in New York who is looking for more than just a place to get a drink. It's an event that combines the best parts of a theatrical show, a fun puzzle-solving game, and a creative cocktail bar into one unforgettable night. It's a perfect option for a special date night, a birthday celebration with a group, or just a fun way to do something different on a weekend. The value for the price is good, as you get both an entertaining experience and two bespoke cocktails. The highly praised staff and their dedication to making every guest feel included and entertained is a major reason for its popularity. The immersive decorations and engaging activities ensure that there's never a dull moment. For those who enjoy a bit of whimsy, a good laugh, and a creative drink, The Alice Cocktail Experience is a must-do on your New York City bucket list. It’s an adventure that promises to be a great time and a story you’ll want to tell all your friends.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a great time. The experience was good but a little underwhelming. The staff was great! They did their best to make it a fun night and they were the best part of the experience. (Please tip them! I know I couldn’t do it if I were in their shoes.) The decorations were good, nothing mind blowing but it added to the ambience. I appreciate that staff tried to include everyone into the experience and it was fun but hectic. There’s only 2 cocktails per person plus 1 shooter when you first get seated. One cocktail you assemble yourselves by solving riddles and one you paint. Overall, it’s a good experience if you don’t think it’s too expensive.
February 06 · Natalie KasipolIt was an amazing experience. I was entertained into laughter and my mind was stimulated by the riddles we had to solve. The decor was absolutely beautiful and the staff were accommodating and cheeky. This ought to be on your to do list for a fun night in NYC.
March 30 · Abena JohnsonBest Adult fun I’ve had this week! The food was surprisingly delicious (we got the wings and bread pudding) the drink experience was everything. We received two shots and 2 alcohol drinks and a belly full of laughs. The Queen and mad hatter took the show to levels I would’ve never imagined. The staff was so nice!
May 11 · Audris B. TorresIt was alright. I was expecting more for the price we paid. You get there, you have to do some riddles to get the stuff for 1 cocktail,m and 1 shot I think. I went just for the picture but its not that crazy
