★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1New gem in the area!We discovered The Georgetown Owl when we were looking for a brunch place. Once you enter you have a choice of eating at the cafe/market area or the restaurant. Both have satisfactory menus and warm, modern decor. All ingredients are locally sourced. The food was scrumptious, service attentive and our dishes arrived fast.I highly recommend this establishment.
August 17 · Ilona D. BantaFood quality / price (value) rating 8.5. The atmosphere is rustic / neo-industrial. Half of this restaurant is a bar and dining tables, and half is a high end coffee shop. The crowd is mostly local, very friendly and sociable. The two owners, Jerry and Linleigh are typically in attendance and very hands-on. The menu is quite varied with several unexpected offerings. They have a limited but well chosen draught beer list. I had the Bistro Filet, about 8 ounces of beef filet mignon, served with a rich brown sauce and baked sweet potato wedges. The wife had the Artichoke and Mushroom Lasagna, a unique spin on classic lasagna as it is rolled rather than layered, that was very good. The entrees were both a la carte, no bread or salad. We arrived early and were the first one's here on a Saturday late afternoon. The bar/dining area filled up quickly afterwards, and it became quite lively. The service was okay, although they definitely could have used one more server.
May 04 · lance hansonA hidden, charming place in Redding, CT. My son and I went there for dinner. The drinks were delicious and they have a great Cocktail/Mocktail selection as well as beer and wine. I enjoyed both the Spicy Margarita and the Rhubarb Bloom. Both were delicious! My son had a Guinness and the Golden Hour which he enjoyed. For an appetizer we had the Pulled Duck Poutine which was deliciously made with sweet potato fries and Taconic Distillery maple bourbon gravy and cheese curds. The Patatas Bravas were also delicious with both an exceptional smoky tomato sauce and roasted garlic aioli to dip into. For dinner, I had Artichoke and Wild Mushroom Lasagna which was out of this world. You could taste everything that was in this rollatini. My son had the Owl Bar Burger which was cooked perfectly on a fresh Brioche bun and the fries were also delicious. For dessert we tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding which is one of my favorite desserts. It was perfect and the whipped cream was creamy and delicious just on its own. The servers Samantha and Cody were very friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. We were seated quickly and everything came to the table in a timely fashion. We were lucky enough to meet the chef Glen who made our meal. He takes pride in each meal he prepares and you can tell by talking to him he loves being a chef. The bartender Ryan was also very nice and makes great drinks. My son and I had the pleasure of meeting the owners Jerry and Kate who were both very nice and we had a nice conversation with them. This place is new and has a market on the other side of the restaurant that I can't wait to try. This place is a must try. Only 15 min from Ridgefield, CT
May 18 · Patti ZellerWhat a great first experience! The service was great (waiter’s 4th day on the job); everyone was attentive and everything arrived in a timely fashion. The food was excellent and my husband and I enjoyed our drinks a lot (I had the pear spritz). Great place for a friendly gathering, date night, and family dinner. Go check it out!
May 25 · Cat RevzonDrinks and food are great. I had the Duck confit and the meat was tender and delicious while the skin was perfectly crispy. The atmosphere was great; our server, Cody, was very pleasant and made sure we were satisfied with our dining experience. My dinner choice was his recommendation and it did not disappoint. We had a great time!
