★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A Hidden Gem on the Fourth Floor!Dining at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fourth-floor restaurant was an unexpected delight. The menu offered a wonderful variety of dishes, beautifully presented and thoughtfully curated to satisfy pescatarians, vegetarians, and everyone in between. Each plate was a feast for the eyes and the palate, absolutely delicious. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and special. If you’re visiting the Met, don’t miss the chance to elevate your experience with a meal here. Highly recommend!
April 22 · Haleh FieldThe Met Dining Room is a beautiful restaurant with views overlooking the park and well curated offerings. While gluten free options are not noted on the menu, staff is very knowledgeable and much of the menu can be modified to be gluten free. Our server even inquired if my gluten free request was for Celiac, so they could take additional precautions. The crab cakes here are outstanding. Would highly recommend.
May 14 · Danielle WagnerMaking a reservation online was super easy and the restaurant staff were very accommodating, making sure we got arguably the best table in the house with a view and plenty of room for our baby stroller for a pre-Mother's Day lunch. The food came out quickly and delicious. The only hiccup was the waitress did get our fish dish orders wrong (had ordered one halibut, one salmon, and one swordfish, but we received two halibuts) and I noticed that the two orders of halibut filet that came out varied significantly in size. The two dishes were also still marked wrong on the bill.Everything else was delicious, including the dessert. The lactation rooms closeby were great, but I wish they'd have changing tables in them and not just the bathrooms which are further away. It's also quite complicated to get to the dining room from the garage, especially on a busy day with a baby & stroller.Would definitely come back on a less crowded day!
May 29 · Hanna J.I do not know why google map showing such lower score, love food and quiet area, nice decoration, simple but quality. Food is fresh and flavorful. Menu changes since last visiting, but still delicious 😋
July 01 · vivian LiuA must go place if you’re in the city. Very nice view and delicious food. I had the mushroom tart and lumache as an appetizer, both were delicious. If you like truffles, the truffle burger was great. My partner said root bear braised short ribs were the best short ribs he’s ever had. We finished off the meal with the grape sorbet, and it was also delicious and inventive. Never had a grape sorbet before, but now I’m glad I did. Overall 10/10! Good service as well.
