June 12 · Samuel CartesOne of the best tortas I came across! Highly recommend.
January 24 · James WillThis was a very cute and humbling store. The staff was absolutely amazing and had some great customer service skills. They have a large variety of inventory and great prices compared to other Mexican restaurants and delis in the area. Their food is homemade but not all the products were fresh. Although they had no problem disposing and replacing the products when asked, that made me very happy to see.Personally, I believe that this store could outlive many of its competitors with just a lit bit of better lighting if it was given more space to display their large inventory or to host more clients. I am surprised this place has survived this long in this neighborhood considering the crazy rent prices and large competition.Overall I would definitely shop here again and recommend it. Especially if you want to order out some food. They had better food for muchh better prices, especially when compared to the Mexican restaurant down the block. (P.s. make sure to try out the Tamales 🫔 daily they sell out soo fast)
February 13 · zeek zikoReally good food, nice service also.
October 26 · SageGood little store stocking various imported Mexican snacks, candy, and condiments. Prices are good, a bit confined inside.
November 04 · ElectroJazz28I’m absolutely in love with Tlalix Deli here in Staten Island. As someone from the Southwest who’s always chasing real Mexican flavor, I can honestly say their carne asada tacos are the best I’ve had since moving to the East Coast. The meat is perfectly seasoned and grilled with that smoky edge that reminds me of street tacos back home. The tortillas are soft and fresh, and the salsa is bright, spicy, and full of life. The whole place feels like a warm little corner of Mexico with friendly people, great music, and that home-cooked aroma that hits you the moment you walk in. I love pairing my tacos with a cold Mexican Coke or their fresh-made aguas frescas. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food in Staten Island, especially carne asada tacos, Tlalix Deli is the spot. Delicious, cozy, and full of heart, exactly what a neighborhood deli should be.
