What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Tofu Story, the star of the show is undeniably the Soon Tofu (soft tofu) stews. These bubbling, hot-stone pots of silky tofu and spicy, savory broth are the restaurant's namesake and highlight. Diners have an impressive selection of fillings to choose from, including the classic Combination Soon Tofu (mixing seafood and beef), Seafood Soon Tofu, Beef Soon Tofu, and Kimchi Soon Tofu. For those seeking a meat-free option, the Vegetable Soon Tofu and Mushroom Soon Tofu are readily available.
Another highly recommended choice is one of the Soon Tofu Combos. These popular pairings allow you to enjoy a smaller portion of your favorite stew alongside a classic Korean BBQ dish. Highly praised combinations include the LA Galbi + Soon Tofu Combo (marinated beef short ribs) and the Bulgogi + Soon Tofu Combo (marinated sliced beef). These combos provide a well-rounded and deeply satisfying meal, showcasing two major pillars of Korean cuisine.
Beyond the stews and combos, the menu’s House Specials, like the LA Galbi and Spicy Pork Belly, are highly rated for their rich flavors and comforting portions. For a different texture, the savory pancakes, such as HAEMUL-PAJUN (Seafood and Scallion Pancake), are often praised for their satisfying, crunchy texture on the outside and consistent interior.
Ultimately, what sets Tofu Story apart for New Yorkers is the complete package: the comforting warmth of the hot stew, the savory depth of the complimentary side dishes (Banchan), and the authentic taste of Korea. It is a genuine choice for anyone looking for a hearty, flavorful, and reliable Korean meal in Queens, whether you are stopping by for a casual lunch, a lively group dinner, or a late-night bite.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cozy and clean atmosphere, and the short ribs were good. But the tofu stew wasn’t served boiling, so the raw egg didn’t cook. Service felt rushed and no tea refills. Also quite hot inside, which made the meal less comfortable.
September 01 · Kevin 33333A good Korean restaurant for tofu stew and other typical Korean dishes. Food was great. Good service. A bit pricey but acceptable. Plenty of seats. Street parking within few blocks.
November 25 · SamI did not realize they close at 10PM and called them around 9PM. The ladies were so nice and took my order for dine in over the phone! The food was great. Seafood Pajeon was so crunchy on the outside and nice consistency inside with seafood. Soondubu was great as well ( we got seafood and beef one), things were not mushy and had nice distinct taste.
July 06 · kookie kamIt's a popular place for Korean style organic tofu casserole w rice & soup broth, and colorful sides of kimchi. Very good prices, friendly services, on-street parking after 7 pm. Seafood pancake is good & freshly pan fried to order. Interior has been remodeled and comfortable seating. Recommended.
May 17 · Henry MuiEvery time we come to Flushing, we'd try a new Korean restaurant on Northern Blvd. This Tofu restaurant has more than just Tofu pot. It also has other Korean favorites like Jokbal (pig's trotters).Great service, good flavors and good price.
