★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had an upsetting experience at this deli. The owner made comments that were clearly discriminatory and inappropriate. No one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome based on their race or background, especially in a public business. I’m sharing this so others are aware. I hope this place reconsiders how it treats its cutomers
May 23 · VadimI ordered pastrami turkey on a hero bread fresh one of the best sandwiches I had in a while, if was to compair it I would compair to sal and Kris in Astoria and also is a Portuguese deli they have bread cheese, olive oil, smoked meats.
May 13 · Marvin BenjaminThe sandwiches are good but that old guy has a nasty disposition. I’ve been there numerous times and he’s just unpleasant & impatient. I’ve seen him smile with caucasians but rude with me and my kind. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid so I know.On the other hand the Latino gentlemen are pretty professional and actually make great sandwiches. If I see the elderly guy, I go elsewhere.Edit: Also amusing to see you respond 3 years later…
July 31 · M MDefinitely the quality and service have both gone down hill since the original owner sold this establishment over a year ago. They don't even have the same products, it went from Portuguese to Hispanic. Long time customers of this store have since left and gone elsewhere since it was sold to one of the workers that had been working for the original owner. I'm so sorry the original owner wanted to retire and had no one in his family to carry on this store.
December 10 · Nicole EdwardsEvery time I go in there the guy with the dimples overcharges me. On my most recent and final visit I was overcharged and given tuna salad instead of tuna from the can for my sandwiches. They will no longer be getting my hard earned money. Be sure ask for the prices upfront and get an itemized receipt( good luck with that!).
