Uptown Bourbon Introduce
In the vibrant and ever-evolving neighborhood of Hamilton Heights, finding a bar that feels both like a hidden gem and a beloved local haunt is a special experience. Uptown Bourbon is exactly that. As a bar located on Broadway, it has carved out a unique identity, blending a trendy, cozy atmosphere with a straightforward, no-fuss approach to serving excellent drinks. The name itself suggests a focus on quality spirits, but the menu reveals a much broader and more exciting selection of offerings. This is a place where you can find a carefully crafted classic cocktail, a great local beer, or a delicious and unexpected beverage, all served in an environment that is both lively and intimate. It's a perfect spot for New Yorkers seeking a genuine and memorable bar experience without the pretense of more formal establishments.
Uptown Bourbon’s charm lies in its distinct personality. The bar is celebrated for its commitment to creating a welcoming and comfortable space. A customer review noted how the bar has evolved, with an open-air facade that allows patrons to enjoy the fresh air, even on a weeknight. This feature, combined with the "music played on vinyl," creates a unique, relaxed, and cool vibe. The staff, specifically mentioned by name in reviews, like Shea and Eduardo, are praised for their service and hospitality, which contributes significantly to the feeling of being "super at home." This personal touch is a major highlight and is what turns a one-time visit into a regular habit for many. The bar is also proudly LGBTQ+ friendly, which adds to its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, making it a safe and fun space for everyone in the community.
While the bar's size is noted as something that could be better, making it hard to "maneuver" when crowded, this cozy aspect also contributes to its intimate and personal feel. It’s a trade-off many patrons are happy to make for the quality of the drinks, the great music, and the friendly staff. The bar’s focus on a curated experience, from its vinyl record selection to its impressive drink list, makes it a true destination for those who appreciate the details. It's not just a place to get a drink; it's a place to enjoy a moment, listen to great music, and connect with people in a relaxed and friendly setting. This dedication to providing a high-quality, thoughtful experience is what makes Uptown Bourbon a standout bar in a city full of options.
Uptown Bourbon is strategically located at 3631 Broadway, New York, NY 10031, USA. Broadway is a major thoroughfare, which ensures high visibility and easy access for both locals and those visiting from other parts of the city. The bar's location is particularly convenient due to its proximity to public transportation. It is a short walk from several major subway stations, including the 145th Street station which serves the 1, A, C, B, and D trains. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came here for the first time in a few years and was delighted by how the place has evolved. Even for a Tuesday night we were shoulder to shoulder with many other patrons enjoying the open air through the facade and the music played on vinyl. Shout out to Shea and Eduardo and incredible prices for the city.
September 17 · Riley ScottIt's usually a good time here. The size is the only thing that could be better. It can be hard to maneuver. But i love the staff, the drinks, and the records they play.
September 08 · Thomas AnthonyWas just kicked out by the bartender for unknown reasons, and was told he had the right to refuse my service. Never in any bar I had this issue ever. But for whatever it was that I did, I am Truly sorry. And I Apologize if me being there caused any inconvenience at that time.
March 23 · Rodney BykeWhat a wonderful place to have a drink! Nice bourbon selection (only place in the area serving Blanton's), in addition to wine, & cocktails. Vinyl music always playing & because it's a small place, there's always neighborly conversation as it is a locals hangout. The post pandemic staff is so friendly & always there to offer a great time. Chris, Joseph, Kat, Keith, Peter, Seth, & Topher are some of the best bartenders in NYC. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
June 10 · Eve GBourbon Street in Harlem NY. Tiny place with a lots of souls. Turn table, old rare records. Classics playing. Bring your own records if you like. Play it and take it with you or leave it in-house for next time you visit. This is one of the amazing spot in Hamilton heights. Small in space big energy. The old and the new happening right here. Bourbon, whiskey, rye, gin, mules, old fashioneds, martini calls that is worthy of the upcoming bond movie ( slightly dirty with 3 olives) # specific cocktails and everything that makes great ambience.
