★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We were a party of 10, and honestly, the service was just ridiculous. The girl working there clearly didn’t seem like she wanted to be there, she looked visibly annoyed the whole time. The service was unbelievably slow, to the point where it was hard to ignore.I’d rate the overall experience a 4 out of 10. The Bukhara Polao was actually really good, but everything else, including the mix platter, was just average. The food was also pricey for what it was definitely didn’t feel worth the cost.
June 10 · AnzGreat people. That’s kind of where it ends. They weren’t open at 5 (as they have on website). They showed up at 530pm.I ordered one thing and got completely different order packed.Called back and they said it was misunderstanding. (I was the only customer there too, so I can imagine what happens when they are busy).Good was average, not exceptional. Price was surprising. Family meal came out to $97 and it was just Plov with few pieces of lamb shank on it. This is no more than $45-$50 item in any other reasonable restaurant.Pretty disappointing? Since people were nice.
April 09 · Mikey VillyThis was my first time trying Uzbek food and l loved it. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe, making the experience even better. The waitress was very attentive and thoroughly explained the menu to us. Highly recommend!
February 24 · Hina Saeed⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal Experience from Start to Finish!Uzbekistana is truly a hidden gem in Boonton! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful—cozy, authentic, and perfect for a memorable family dinner. Now let’s talk about the food—WOW! Every single dish we tried was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with love and tradition. From the plov to the kebabs to the dumplings, everything was outstanding. The portions are generous and the ingredients fresh—truly a culinary journey to Uzbekistan right here in New Jersey. But what made this visit truly special was the service and people. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and passionate about the food and culture they were sharing. It elevated the entire experience to something unforgettable. We had such a phenomenal time with family—laughing, eating, and making memories. I can’t wait to come back and will absolutely be dining in and ordering takeout many, many, MANY more times! Thank you, Uzbekistana, for an experience that fed both our stomachs and our hearts!
May 31 · Farzad MessaqExciting to have found dining within a native culture of my own, as I have reviewed other interesting reviews of this restaurant, unfortunately, I strongly disagree - the food was not aligned with the taste I know and grew up with of this amazing culture. The lamb kebab was not properly seasoned, tasted bland, and meat was not tender. I didn't enjoy chewing as the taste was depressing. Even basic mash potato was not fresh and tasted weak, definitely was not fresh as well, perhaps felt as if it was made week ago and was left in fridgerator, had no special sauce, very plain, bit dry, would not recommend. I was with other individuals, and they had felt the same. Sadly, the music also didn't represent the optimistic ambiance of the culture, was very dreary, typically Uzbek music is upbeat and combination of drums is entertaining. The low lighting ambiance made us sleepy. On the flip side, the lagmon soup was what had been the tastiest, but unfortunately, not enough to be able to come back, overall the food was just very disappointing. The original Uzbek taste palate was not represented by this establishment. The waiter was friendly and tried her best, which was much appreciated. I would recommend Samarkand, in Woodhaven, Queens, NY, to taste true Uzbek culture food or Tandori, in Rego Park, Queens as well. Both great restaurants will truly make you come back multiple times, if not always! The food really made me have a stomachache. The chicken plov was stale and wasn't very fresh, not a hint of cumin seasoning, even which is a primary seasoning ingredient of this cuisine. In all honesty, it is best recommended for the chef to really attain further Uzbek cooking experience.
