★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went to this location due to the Sutter location being closed. The first time I went was on Tuesday they didn’t have fried chicken and said it would be at least an hour for more 😏. We left , decided to go back again today (Saturday) again no fried chicken smh , so my husband got the baked chicken I got the meatloaf which they took 1 piece and tried to cut it and half band say it was 2 , not worth $15 ( Sutter was always delicious) the Mac and cheese under cooked and dry , my husband chicken dry as dirt and the seasoned rice undercooked and under seasoned . They didn’t give any cornbread and only had lemonade to offer for drinks . Very unorganized and the staff rather talk than serve long wait and the food is horrible . I realized that the sign said under new ownership maybe that’s why it’s disgusting….. I wish they open back up sutter the food and service was good
September 27 · Gene JohnsonI got the $6 plate yesterday evening. They only serve dark meat (legs, thighs) for all the chicken. I chose the honey butter chicken thigh with extra gravy, which was good, seasoned rice (good), and Mac & cheese.I'm giving it 3 stars because the chicken to sides ratio is only 1 piece of meat, there was no cornbread because they ran out, AND they only serve dark meat. This is a cash only location so come prepared with money. The fountain drinks they advertise with $6 holla, are canned sodas from a cooler.I suggest if you want a decent quick fix, go there.
July 27 · g0rgjasCustomer service was 10/10 quick fast and most importantly FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!! Food was mid wasn't bad but i give it 7/10I got theBbq chicken 8/10 flavor was okGreens 5/10 wasn’t bad but very salty n lacked meat pieces (best part of greens in my opinion)Mac & cheese was a very hard 0/10 lacked flavor taste like melted cheese over noodles w/ milk
August 30 · Patricia BlughLet's start off with the food, I had the turkey wings, mac and cheese and yams. I got the all day $10 special. The turkey wings were very dry but I did ask for gravy and go none, the yams to hard and I got the regular yams, however the mac and cheese was pretty good. The service was not that good OMG 😕. That young lady at the register 😳 needs customer service training because baby that young lady do not want to be there and it shows all over her face. Because she's the first person the customers have to deal with it baby girl definitely need to change her attitude. The ambiance is cool it's very small though don't plan to sit and eat there. My advice Vera's soul food restaurant would be gravy on the turkey wings and Make them to where they are falling off the bone and easy on the pepper on the turkey wings. The yams soften them up please and lastly they forgot to give me my drink.... Please don't forget to give customers their drink.
