In a city with a seemingly endless number of cafes, 12 Matcha offers a distinct and high-quality niche that makes it well worth the visit, even if you have to wait. The primary reason to choose this cafe is its singular focus on providing an authentic and premium matcha experience. Unlike places that treat matcha as an afterthought, 12 Matcha elevates it to an art form. The use of high-quality, ceremonial-grade matcha, combined with meticulous preparation techniques, results in a drink that is rich, flavorful, and lacks the grassy bitterness often associated with lower-quality powders. Beyond the drinks, the exceptional quality of their desserts is a major draw. The "Matcha Basque Cheesecake" has achieved a near-legendary status among customers, with one person even going back for a second slice on the same day. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We’ve visited twice before, but both times they were closed—so we still haven’t had the chance to try their Matcha. This time, we were lucky! The staff kindly let us in to check out the space. We came on their first-ever Monday opening, but unfortunately, a water leak prevented them from serving drinks.Even so, we could tell how dedicated they are to their craft. They use charcoal water to help reduce acidity, which is especially thoughtful since some Matcha can naturally lean more acidic. It’s a smart way to create a well-balanced, smooth cup.We didn’t get to try it this time either, but we’re definitely coming back. The space is beautiful, the team is kind, and the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying Matcha.
July 31 · Pack KatisomsakulWork near by so I went to try this place. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes the first time. Nicely decor, I ordered the Matcha tea, 1 scoop of Matcha ice cream and one piece of the Matcha Basque Cheesecake. The Matcha ice cream was really good, ate it while I waited for my tea. The Tea what an artwork, and it was delicious. The Matcha Basque Cheesecake I ate it at work and it was really good, that after work I went to get another piece. my second time I ordered the Hojicha ice cream and it was refreshing. and bought two pieces of the cheesecake. I wonder if they sell an entire cheesecake. what an experience.
July 02 · Julio RodriguezWe waited 40 mins on a Sunday rainy morning so definitely be prepared for a longer wait if the weather is nice out. While the matcha was delicious and high quality, not sure it’s worth the wait and hype. The cheesecake was good but I think the hojicha flavor would have been better since the matcha one was not super noticeable on the flavour.
September 09 · Queeny QiuWaiting time way too long especially after ordering you have to wait in line for them to make one matcha at a time in front of you and each order takes around five minutes. However the staff was kind and the interior looks amazing! The matcha tastes good especially the ice cream, they take so much care of their customers! They even give out umbrellas for those waiting outside under the sun! Great experience apart from the long waiting time. Prices are good for the quality
August 30 · WZX CC002Overall, they do a great job at curating an experience - however- it too is 50 min to order and then another 10 min to receive our matcha. Additionally, the matcha is very strong so expect a stronger flavor. Personally, I liked the ice cream the best. Giving 4 stars because they do a great experience however I wouldn’t come back
