For New Jersey diners visiting A2B Indian Veg Restaurant in Parsippany, making a choice from the extensive menu can be a delightful, yet challenging, endeavor. To experience the heart of what this popular establishment offers, focus on these signature selections.
First and foremost, A2B's specialty is its South Indian offerings. While some customers have noted inconsistencies with items like the Masala Dosai, the sheer variety and the high praise for their other Tiffin items make them essential. The Mini Tiffin is an excellent choice for a comprehensive sampler, typically including a selection of Idly, Vadai, Pongal, and a sweet of the day, allowing you to try several authentic flavors at once. Given that the Sambar is frequently praised as genuinely authentic and excellent, any dish that comes served with it—such as the Idly Vadai combo or the South Indian Thali—is a reliably good choice.
Second, the Plantastik menu is a compelling choice for anyone committed to plant-based or vegan dining. The effort to create dishes like the Plantastik Veg Kothu Parotta and Plantastik Vegetable Laba, which incorporate 100% plant-based protein, demonstrates A2B's commitment to modern, healthy, and ethical dining while maintaining cultural flavor.
Finally, do not leave without exploring the Desserts. A2B’s history as a sweets and dessert specialist means this section of the menu is a major highlight. Favorites like the traditional Gulab Jamun or Rasamalai are excellent, but the regionally popular and highly recommended Pineapple Rava Kesari is a must-try for a sweet finish. The exceptional quality of their homemade sides and accompaniments—like the highly-praised Sambar—enhances every meal, making A2B a premier spot for authentic, all-vegetarian dining in New Jersey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was incredibly keen to try A2B Indian Restaurant after hearing numerous glowing reviews, including a stellar 4.8-star rating from 7.4k reviews and a passionate recommendation from my fiancé's South Indian friend claiming they have the best masala dosas in the state. Given the difficulty of getting a reservation at my current favorite, Semma, this was meant to be my new go-to. Unfortunately, my Saturday evening experience was an overall big letdown. We arrived to a packed restaurant, with the parking lot at capacity, which certainly spoke to A2B's popularity. The interior was spacious, offering plenty of booths and tables, yet it was still quite full. We were seated quickly after a short 5-minute wait. However, once we sat down, the waiting game began. There was an iPad on the table with the menu, but we couldn't place the order ourselves. After nearly 15 minutes had passed with no server approaching, we finally flagged someone down. When the waiter did arrive, they offered no introduction and simply asked for our order before taking the iPad and leaving. For drinks, the Masala Chai and a Mango Lassi (made with pulp, not fresh mangoes) were both good; no complaints there. We ordered the main event, two Mysore Masala Dosas with the potato masala on the side. The food came out alarmingly fast, within like three minutes, which immediately made me suspicious. How the food was presented was perhaps the most jarring part of the experience, the small separate dishes for the potato masala and the chutneys were placed directly on top of my dosa! That's not hygienic at all, and to have serving dishes underside directly contacting the food was a bad look and presentation. Beyond the questionable presentation, the quality of the dosa was deeply disappointing. It was soggy and not crispy whatsoever. The speed suggested it was possibly pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp. The only saving grace of the entire meal was the sambar, which was genuinely good, almost as good as my mom makes it. Given this experience, I completely lost interest in trying the Palak Paneer or Malai Kofta I had initially planned on. We finished with the Pista Kulfi for dessert, which was just okay, with a heavy taste of cardamom that you'll love only if you're a big fan of that spice. While we were there, another family in front of us complained to the manager about the service, but the manager looked like he didn't care since business is booming for the restaurant. I wouldn't come back here again; there are much better spots for dosas and vegetarian Indian food. This was an overall disappointing experience.
October 14 · Jay M.Absolutely the best Vegan experience I’ve ever had. A2B is the place to enjoy a good tasting Vegan Indian cuisine. I love trying different foods and Indian food is definitely one of the top. The food was so full of flavor and cultural spices. Workers are very attentive and friendly. Sai was really great, he was always so observing and simply just does the job well. Absolutely and devoutly will be coming back! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
July 26 · Khari BurtonAmazing food and great service by Raj when I visited. Mysore Masala Dosa was great and Pineapple Rava Kesari was amazing to top it off. Homely atmosphere reminded me of A2B back in India.
