Aliya Cocktail Den Introduce
Nestled on the fourth floor of the Hotel Indigo in the vibrant neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Aliya Cocktail Den offers a sophisticated and unique dining and drinking experience that stands apart from the city's more typical scenes. This venue, which identifies as a restaurant, bar, and cocktail bar, provides a cool, mature, and trendy atmosphere that feels both exclusive and welcoming. Far from a typical hotel bar, Aliya is a "cozy oasis above the streets of Brooklyn," offering a warm and relaxed ambiance that has captivated a local and tourist crowd alike. The space is a true destination, with a speakeasy-like entry from a "hidden" check-in area off the main lobby, creating a sense of discovery and excitement for every guest who visits.
Aliya Cocktail Den is more than just a bar; it's a creative and culinary hub. The menu is a reflection of this, featuring globally inspired small plates, or tapas, crafted by the acclaimed Chef Scotley Innis. His Jamaican roots and culinary expertise are evident in dishes that are both inventive and delicious. The menu is designed to be shared, encouraging a social and communal dining experience. The cocktails, a major highlight of the den, are carefully crafted with a passion for premium spirits and fresh ingredients. These handcrafted libations, along with an impressive wine list, ensure that every sip is a celebration. The combination of high-quality food, creative drinks, and a stylish environment makes Aliya a top choice for a memorable night out in New York City.
While the venue is a fantastic spot for a night of cocktails and conversation, it's also important for New Yorkers to be aware of its dual nature as a pool club. While the pool is an amenity of the Hotel Indigo, the bar and restaurant operate as a separate, sophisticated entity. The positive reviews for the bar and food consistently praise the cool vibe, delicious tapas, and creative cocktails, emphasizing the den’s strong points as a place for dining and socializing. The atmosphere is often described as cozy and romantic, with dim ambient lighting that creates an intimate setting reminiscent of a bygone era. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic spot or a group of friends seeking a trendy, relaxed place to hang out, Aliya Cocktail Den offers an elevated experience that truly captures the spirit of modern Brooklyn.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A rooftop on top of the INDIGO HOTEL in Williamsburg serving some delicious tapas with some really good and creative cocktails. On the weekends they got a DJ playing some good r&b music. The service was good and the place just had a cool, mature vibe.
July 03 · Paul VelazquezIf you’re staying at this hotel for the pool, look elsewhere.I visited as a guest of the hotel and asked the pool front desk if we needed a reservation for the next day if I was planning to come around 2. I was told no, reservations weren’t needed. We showed up the next day, only to be told the pool was closing at noon - 5 PM for a private event. There was also a private event the night before. When I was allowed to be there, they played really bad music. Think the top 10 pop hits.Staff clearly had no idea what was going on and gave us inaccurate information. If the pool is important to your stay, don’t count on it being available—staff can’t confirm availability, and apparently neither can the hotel. To make matters worse, the private event the night before had easily over 200 people packed onto the pool deck. Meanwhile, the posted NYC safety signage clearly stated the pool area has a 40-person capacity. That’s not just frustrating—it’s unsafe.Oh and you get a view of this junk yard. Come here to play I spy or have a private event.
June 21 · AnnaI had a good time at Aliya. The space is beautiful and my drink was delicious. I will say, however, that the transition from restaurant to bar at night is a bit weak here. I was there for an event and 1 hour into it, they were still serving people full meals while people are dancing and mixing and mingling in the center of the space - it didn’t annoy me, but it did feel a bit strange.
April 08 · Amarachi OkoromSpent some time by the pool and the food service menu is from the restaurant, Aliya. The Oxtail Tacos are definitely superb. I would order it again and again. Please Be Advised is DOES have some spice. If you do not take well to spice, I would skip this and get the fried rice. The Oxtail on both is very succulent and juicy. Full of flavor. The drinks are good. The Old Fashion, I'd give a 7/10. Same for the margarita. I'm also giving my advice from being poolside. They may make it differently for indoor dining, but I definitely plan on returning for the indoor dining experience 💚😁
July 29 · Kathina M.S/O to Chef Scotley Innis, and partner Aliya, on this dope Caribbean-fusion bar concept, nestled in Williamsburg's Hotel Indigo.I have had great experiences at Aliya and hope to dine at Continent BK soon. The drinks are fun, festive and precursor to a great time!THE FOOD IS DIVINE. Make sure to order everything off the menu. Seriously, that's the only way to truly enjoy what Aliya has to offer! The ambiance is spectacular. The service is hospitable and engaging. The menu is a creative masterpiece. Perfect for date nights and intimate gatherings.
