American Express Centurion Lounge Introduce
The American Express Centurion Lounge at LaGuardia Airport is not a nightclub, but rather an exclusive, high-end airport lounge that provides a quiet and upscale escape from the bustling crowds of the terminal. Located in the new Terminal B, this venue is a premier destination for eligible cardholders seeking a luxurious and comfortable pre-flight experience. For New Yorkers who frequently travel, this lounge offers a valuable amenity that can transform a stressful airport visit into a pleasant and relaxing one. It's a place where you can enjoy a complimentary meal, a handcrafted cocktail, and a comfortable space to relax or get some work done before your flight.
The atmosphere of the Centurion Lounge is a key part of its appeal. It is designed to be a chic retreat, blending casual comfort with upscale, trendy aesthetics. The space feels cozy and inviting, offering a sense of calm and exclusivity that is hard to find in a public airport terminal. The atmosphere is generally quiet and comfortable, with various seating arrangements designed for both solo travelers and groups. While some patrons have noted that the lounge can get crowded during peak hours, it remains a serene alternative to waiting at a busy gate. The stylish decor and curated ambiance create an environment that feels more like a private club than a public waiting area, a welcome oasis in one of New York's busiest airports.
The menu at the Centurion Lounge is a major highlight, setting it apart from standard airport fare. The food and drink offerings are premium and thoughtfully curated. The bar is a particular standout, with a great selection of cocktails created by renowned mixologist Jim Meehan. The menu includes unique concoctions like the "Prototonic," "Blue Door," and "Lower East Cider," among others. The wine list is equally impressive, with a "great wine list" featuring a variety of sparkling, white, and red options.
Beyond the drinks, the food menu is designed to be both delicious and satisfying. The offerings are described as "excellent" and "top-notch," with a variety of options from hot and cold dishes to breakfast and lunch offerings. For those in a hurry, there are also quick bites available. The menu includes a variety of comfort food and small plates, ensuring there is something to suit every palate. While some have noted that the food can be inconsistent, the overall variety and quality are generally considered to be well above the average airport restaurant. The bar also serves food, and the overall emphasis on quality food and drink makes it a great spot for solo dining or a social drink before your flight.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We visited the Centurion Lounge at LaGuardia around lunchtime and had a great experience overall. While the lounge felt a bit smaller than others, there was still plenty of space to eat and relax comfortably. The lunch offerings were excellent—we absolutely loved the food and appreciated the variety. There was plenty to choose from for adults, though families with picky eaters might find the options a bit limited. I didn’t ask if they had a separate kids’ menu, so that could be worth checking if you’re traveling with little ones.As always, the drink options were top-notch, with a nice selection of coffee, tea, juices, sodas, and more. A great spot to unwind before your flight!
May 18 · Annette ChevalierVery crowded/tight and loud. Food is taken a dive since the great Centurion lounge days. Food continues to go downhill. Now liquor options at the bar has deteriorated too. Bartenders were not particularly pleasant or advanced like they used to be there and service staff is good but minimal.
July 16 · Janine JWe visited the AMEX Lounge on a Saturday afternoon during the lunch menu and wow, it was the HIGHLIGHT of our short trip to Times Square! We didn’t enjoy NY and will not return. We will probably likely want a layover here at this lounge. Some things i appreciate the lounge was clean, spacious, and incredibly relaxing. No wait time at all, which was a huge plus. They offer a great variety of fresh, healthy food options, and fresh fruits water and coffee are readily available. The lounge also has thoughtful spaces like a business section, conference rooms, and even a kids’ room which made it perfect for our family. The airport view was an added bonus! This lounge truly made our trip worth it. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area with an AMEX card!
July 14 · NuCreationGreat service here and food option. Was busy due to peak hour, though was able to find a table with no issues. Hot food was miles better than most lounges - really impressed by quality.
May 21 · Nick LBeen to most Amex lounges and this is one of the better ones. Was very busy due to widespread weather and flight delays, but it handled the crowd well. Weird layout to the space with multiple rooms. Incredible bar with superb and creative cocktails.
