★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Aska delivered one of the most exceptional dining experiences I have ever had and easily ranks in my top three Michelin-starred meals to date. From start to finish, every course was a masterclass in flavor, presentation, and creativity, making it nearly impossible to choose a standout dish. One dish that left a lasting impression was the black caviar course, which was truly an explosion of happiness in my mouth. It was the kind of dish that made time stand still. The delicate brininess of the caviar was perfectly balanced with a silky, base that enhanced this bite. Each bite was more impressive than the last, showcasing a thoughtful balance of innovation and Nordic tradition. The service was flawless, warm, attentive, and seamlessly orchestrated. Aska is an extraordinary gem that sets the standard for fine dining.
August 05 · Marina SheykmanI left tonight not quite sure what the hype is about for Aska. This is one of those fine dining meals that leans on the side of less flavor than more, which unfortunately leaves many of the dishes tasting more bland than interesting. The service was good and the sommelier did a solid job explaining the wines, but I didn’t quite find the food to be interesting or enjoyable too much. Also, the serving sizes are indeed very small. I wouldn’t have had an issue with this if I enjoyed the meal more.I read many reviews that got me really excited about coming here. But it just didn’t hit the mark at all. There were maybe 1-2 dishes that I will remember even next week. I found the scallops to be straight up unpleasant. If you prefer more bold, flavorful dishes, Aska is probably not for you.
September 14 · Conor HarrisFrom the moment I stepped through the doors of Aska, I was welcomed with warmth and grace. Seated with a view of the open kitchen, I watched culinary artistry unfold in real time, each dish a masterpiece on a plate. The ambiance was refined, the service attentive, and even the utensils felt like works of art. Highlights included delicate caviar, seasonal herbs, perfectly cooked fish, and tender venison; all executed with elegance and depth. Dessert was a beautiful finale, with a surprise selection of sweet delights. A truly inspiring dining experience, highly recommended, and I can’t wait to return.
July 18 · Esfira ShakhIG: @jojo_gourmandAmong the myriad extraordinary places in NYC, Aska stands out with its unique Scandinavian cuisine 🇸🇪 that left me longing for more. The edgy and dark interior of Aska sets the stage for a sensory journey through a dozen-course menu, each dish a masterpiece showcasing the freshest seafood in season. From the impactful start of seaweed with blue mussel emulsion and the vendace roe tart, to the full-bodied sauces enriched with simmered bones and shells, every bite was a revelation. The crème royale with lobster claw and langoustine from Norway are THE dishes to DIE FOR!!!Aska’s cuisine is a testament to the power of minimalism, using only a few but highly effective components to enhance the star protein of each course. It’s a culinary experience that is light, refreshing, and refined, a must-try for anyone in NYC seeking a unique dining experience that will leave a lasting impression.🗺️ Scandinavian & Contemporary⭐️ Michelin Two-Starred🏷️ US$300+

This Nordic gem delivers an unforgettable tasting menu that is as artful as it is delicious. Each course is thoughtfully constructed, blending precision and creativity with pure seasonal ingredients.
