★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A nice hidden gem in the UES area. I wanted to go this place for a while but didn’t get the chance. The food was very good and prices are fair. This is a Belgian-French cuisine. I went there for brunch and got the croque madame which was one of the best I had with a generous amount of ham inside. The pancakes were fluffy and good as well. They have dining inside the restaurant and also a patio at the back which was very nice.Overall very recommended, would definitely come back!
August 18 · Guy EichlerCame here for the first time. They have a nice garden for sitting. I ordered tuna tartare and mussels cooked in white wine and tomato sauce with a side of fries. The tuna tartare was fresh, and had layers of chopped tomatoes and avocado. However, the sauce was a bit bland. It was just plain soy sauce. It was a bit too salty, too. The freshly grinned pepper helped, but not a whole lot. In addition, they should really pay more attention to the tuna, I found quite a few of tendons/ligaments that weren’t removed. It was hard to chew. The mussels were nice, but I don’t quite understand the concept of sliced carrots in it until I tasted the broth. It did help building the layers of the sauce. Most of the mussels were nice, and only a few of them didn’t look so healthy. The fries were alright. It was a bit soft and soggy. I’d have liked it a lot more if they were crispier. The sauce for the fries were nice, though. I was also a bit confused when there was no bread until the very end when I was basically eating the soup with the big spoon. A server asked me if I’d like some bread. It was much better with the bread.Overall, it was a nice meal, but I was expecting more. I’ll probably come by again when I’m in the neighborhood.
July 11 · Bradley CSolid brunch spot but wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again. The food was fresh and tasteful. However, I was disappointed with the waffle because it gets a lot attention in the reviews and there are even signs around the restaurant but it was just fine. The service was attentive but almost too attentive at some point there were like 3 different servers asking us what we wanted to order, if we were ok, if we wanted the check, it was overwhelming and might even say it detracted from the experience. I personally really enjoyed the egg sandwich with fries whereas some of the others in our group were not as excited about their meals including the steak sandwich and eggs Benedict.
February 23 · Sachi TejaniI was to meet a friend for brunch at another location. However, the wait was too long. So we started walking and found this location. We looked at the menu outside, and it was what we were looking for. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The decor of the location is beautiful, wished the service was as beautiful. We waited 20 minutes for a menu, and they only provided one. We had to ask the couple on the next table if we used theirs. We ordered our drinks, and it took 20 minutes to get. When they arrived with my friend food order, they had forgotten what my order was. Had to wait for my food, and my friend wanted to split her food with me becauseof the long wait. When the order arrived, it was wrong. It is a shame that the service does not reflect the space. Ownership should be looking into what is not working.
December 31 · Katherine LarrequiAtmosphere was gorgeous. We sat in the outdoor beer garden which was absolutely perfect.Selection of Belgian Beers was very nice. Nothing unique, but none of the top dogs were missing.Food was fine. The Chicken Stew Waffle was a nice waffle and a fine stew, but served on top ahead of time meant the stew thoroughly soaked through the waffle and made the classic "light crispy" more "soft and mushy".
