★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I guess my expectations were too high! I expected to eag the very best dumplings ever… I ordered a crispy one - which I thought was crispy from frypaning it but it was actually deep fried, and too oily so I didn’t even finish it - and the grandma’s soup dumplings - which don’t get me wrong, they were good, but just not wow as in my opinion they should have been and it is suppose to be the main dishes in the restaurant!
June 09 · Nicole D.Stopped by for lunch after spending the day at a nearby day spa. Ordered the sticky rice, chicken soup dumplings, Peking duck bao, and shrimp dumplings. While initially wifey was disappointed in the size of the shrimp dumplings and sticky rice, it worked that it was plenty of food. Everything was tasty. I really enjoyed the duck seeing as how I have not had it in a while. The chicken soup dumplings tasted great as well. Wifey enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and the sticky rice.Service was quick. We were seated right away and the place was not busy. Most likely would come back if in the area again.
June 05 · Steven Lamthe mini peking duck buns were really good. crispy duck skin and tender meat. comes with a decent portion of meat.the shanghai pan fried soup dumplings had good flavor but weren’t really “soup dumplings ,” as they were totally dry inside. no soup at all.
July 23 · Genevieve DunnThis is a lovely restaurant..we were the only ones dining there at 4pm on a Thursday, but my oh my were our dishes a gastronome's delight...the garlic chili noodles, mapo tofu, and dry pot beef were indescribably delicious. The young man who served us was also behind the register and he never returned to ask whether we needed anything...BUT he quickly came to our table when I got his attention. He graciously packed my leftovers for carryout after misunderstanding and placing more fire in the table top stove underneath my dry pot beef. I would definitely return to Baodega to try some other dishes!
August 08 · J. H.The service is great but not busy either. Food was good mostly. Peking duck was amazing and get lots of duck. 10/10. The pork bun looked like it was lacking but taste was great. 8/10. The crab roe pork soup dumpling was 3/10. Taste wasn't great. Pork was hard. No soup. No ginger in the sauce. No hot oil.
