I’ve stopped by this bar a few times during my stay over the years. A beautiful space, but service has often felt a bit detached and pretty terrible most times. This time was different.I was greeted by Liz, who welcomed my group in right away and introduced herself and made a point to ask our names and where we were coming from. It was a small gesture, but it completely shifted the tone of the evening. She was engaging, made excellent cocktails, and offered great food recommendations. She really created a welcoming environment.The shrimp cocktail was incredibly fresh, the burger was perfectly juicy and flavorful, and the whipped ricotta with apricots was a standout. The martinis were ice cold. A perfect way to end the evening.

I’ve been to Bar Pendry a few times and usually love it. My most recent visit was off, though. Our server (young Latina woman, didn’t catch her name) didn't engage with us at all and kept disappearing. When she was around she seemed more interested in chatting with people she knew than checking on our table. Drinks were slow but tasty, food was great and will come back but may consider sitting at the bar instead.
