★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We came here for a friend’s birthday, a group of four. The appetizers (oysters, salad, and burrata) were very good, and the desserts were also enjoyable. The restaurant kindly gave us complimentary champagne, which we appreciated. However, the main dishes were very disappointing. We ordered a burger, three lobster rolls, and ravioli, and every one of them was heavily oversalted and over-spiced, to the point that it took away from the flavors. Considering the bill came to almost $400, the quality of the main courses really fell short.Overall, while the starters and desserts were nice, the main part of the meal—which should have been the highlight—was a letdown.
August 21 · Zhamilya KarchaevaWeekend jazz brunch is such a vibe. Cocktails were spot on. We ordered a few starters to share and they were all very good. Service was just a tad spotty.
September 02 · Tracy X.I had a great experience at The Bar Room at Beekman.First, I want to highlight the charming qualities of the entire property. Upon entering the lobby, you are greeted by a kind and polite doorman who directs you to the front desk. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just joining The Bar Room for drinks at the bar or a snack at the tables, or even dining at Chef Daniel’s restaurant, La Gratin, you are in the right place. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. With high ceilings, dim lighting, and sophisticated music, it creates a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a long day.We were seated by a friendly and professional hostess. Our server was a young lady who seemed to be one of the lead servers, as she managed several tables. Her knowledge of the food and beverage menu was impressive. Since we were looking for a snack after a late lunch, she provided excellent recommendations. The drinks were good; my cocktail was slightly sweeter than usual for a gimlet, but it was still well made. The wine selection is also impressive. For food, we ordered a cheese board, which came with crostini, honey, and nuts. I must admit that the presentation could be improved. Given the variety of cheeses, it would have been better to serve them on a board rather than a regular plate, with the additional components in ramekins for better preservation. We also enjoyed a spicy dip that was excellent.Overall, it was a great snack in a much better ambiance.Best,Srdan Dokovic
April 28 · Srdan DokovicI had an absolutely wonderful brunch here! The live jazz created a fantastic atmosphere, and the aesthetic was so soothing and amazing (I visited on a Saturday from 1-3pm).The service was top-notch, and the food tasted incredibly fresh. I especially appreciated that the wine wasn't cheap-tasting at all, which is always a plus.I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable brunch experience.
March 19 · Jessica TiburcioA true historical gem, definitely old New York vibes. Had a wonderful experience here for Valentine’s Day/Anniversary dinner. The space itself is very impressive. We had dinner and drinks and really enjoyed a special time. The service was attentive and food was top notch. The best were the short rib ravioli and the smoked wagyu brisket, highly recommended. A high end New York experience, definitely worth it.
