is a popular choice that gets rave reviews. This fusion ramen blends a pork and fish-based broth with the robust, spicy profile of red curry, offering a delicious heat that has been described as a "game changer." The slightly less bold, but equally flavorful,
also provides a delightful fusion experience for those who enjoy Thai-Japanese flavors.
If you are exploring appetizers or smaller plates, the
is frequently mentioned as an addictive starter, praised for its tender braised pork belly served in a fluffy bao bun. The
is another highly popular starter—a rice bowl topped with flame-seared chopped chashu pork, a perfect side for a smaller appetite or a hearty accompaniment to your ramen bowl. Remember that ramen eggs are a separate, essential add-on for a complete ramen experience, as they may not be automatically included in all bowls.

Blackbeard Ramen Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place was pretty good. We are traveling and wanted to get some ramen and this is a close one to the shop we have back in our home town. At first, the “coldness” of the server threw us off but at the end of it we actually liked the server wasn’t doing the “fake-nice customer service” stuff like usual. It was a new experience that we ended up enjoying. The food was good but unfortunately for my partner, the ramen doesn’t come with an egg already so you have to order it and we didn’t realize until after. Food was tasty and good portion for a smaller person with the regular size and a good portion for a person who can eat a little more getting the larger size. The gyoza on the other hand was so-so. Thank you!
August 28 · Georgi LaneaMy wife and I tried the tonkotsu ramen and the blackbeard ramen. Both were just okay — nothing that really stood out. The blackbeard ramen had a strong garlic taste, and both bowls were a bit too salty for our preference (probably should’ve asked for less salt). We’ve been searching for a go-to ramen spot in NJ, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall, an average experience.
September 17 · WOOCHIKAJust went there yesterday for the first time although pass by often. Was super quiet inside which was fine but surprising.Got the Blackbeard ramen and Calpico(for a little more taste of Japan)It was delicious- heavily garlic flavored as the menu listed but not overpowering.Really great Ramen spot - there are a couple in this area and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.
September 04 · Brian LambThe signature Blackbeard ramen has a fantastic broth👌 the portion for the regular size is generous. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious. The pork buns and the shrimp dumplings are great starters. Great neighborhood spot 👍
August 07 · Michelle MadariagaI love Blackbeard. This is the best ramen in NJ in my opinion! I had the Blackbeard Ramen most recently while my partner had the Green Curry Ramen. The service is always friendly and fast. Each bowl tastes amazing. The chashu and noodles are perfectly cooked and the broth is flavorful. I also loved the Chicken Bun I had as an appetizer. Support small biz, this place is 10/10!
