★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There are a lot of restaurants in this neighborhood and we considered many of them, but warm glow exuding from Bombay Chowk's open door, and the sight of the Bollywood film projected into an ornate arch on the back wall pulled us in. The interior design is luxurious and magical. The staff are very friendly and when we left we felt as though we'd made new friends. We didn't really try any of the usual familiar North or South Indian standards (I mean, other than the garlic nan and wonderful pulao rice), because Deepak guided us to a street food appetizer that wasn't on the menu (trust Deepak). I would heartily recommend the Smoked Baingan Bharta, and a chicken dish cooked in a rich mint and coriander sauce. You can spend much less than we did: we ordered extra to take home. Looking at the menu now there are a large number of different dishes it may be worth making a trip to Lenox Hill to try. Thanks all, for a lovely evening and see you again soon.
September 14 · Theo SmartThey have indoor and outdoor seating. It's cozy and warm inside, limited tables. The staff is nice and very attentive. The lamb biryani was really good and my friend and her mom enjoyed the egg chops and bebinca.
April 28 · Alijon ZaidiThe food was so delicious! We got the chicken malvani and the dal makhani, with a side of salted lassi. Would highly recommend all of these dishes. The food was perfect! The service was also lovely and we loved the interior. I’ll definitely be coming back!
August 16 · Maithilee KanthiBombay Chowk in Manhattan offers an amazing dining experience with a great atmosphere and delicious food. The Yakini Chicken Biryani was flavorful and well-balanced, while the Malwani Chicken had the perfect blend of spices, making it a standout dish. The Garlic Naan was soft, fragrant, and complemented the meal beautifully. Ordering medium spice was just right, adding the perfect kick without overwhelming the flavors. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!
March 21 · Anish SinhaI have been trying to check this spot for a while now, finally made a reservation. We were recommended few dishes and it was really great experience overall, I understood, why it’s rated 4.7 . Staff were really attentive too .
