What is Worth Choosing
For anyone in the New York area looking for a standout Peruvian meal, Bravo Peru in White Plains is particularly worth choosing for its authenticity and celebrated signature dishes. When reviewing the menu and customer feedback, several items and aspects repeatedly stand out, making a visit or an order a must for local food lovers.
The Culinary Icon: Lomo Saltado
As the unstated "star" of the menu, the Lomo Saltado is the most-liked and most-ordered dish for a reason. Patrons often refer to Bravo Peru as "La casa del Lomo Saltado," a testament to its quality. It perfectly embodies the Chifa fusion found in Peruvian cuisine—tender beef sirloin (or Angus beef), stir-fried with onions and tomatoes in soy sauce, served over a bed of white rice and French fries. If it’s your first time, starting with this dish is highly recommended to understand the depth of flavor that this restaurant offers.
Peruvian Comfort Fusion: Chaufa and Tallarin Verde
Two other excellent choices that showcase Peru's unique culinary blend are the Chaufa and the Tallarin Verde. The Chaufa dishes, Peruvian-style fried rice featuring various meats or seafood combinations (like the popular Chaufa Mixto or Chaufa De Carne), are hearty and flavorful options. Meanwhile, the Tallarin Verde Con Carne, spaghetti tossed in a rich, basil- and spinach-based Peruvian pesto, is a comforting and distinctive plate that is often praised by local customers for its unique and satisfying sauce.
Unforgettable Sides and Extras
Customers rave about the accompaniments at Bravo Peru. A crucial element to elevate your meal is the Green Sauce. Often called 'Aji Verde' or just the 'Green Sauce,' this creamy, flavorful, and sometimes spicy sauce is a common Peruvian condiment. Many reviews point out that the green sauce here is "the best," and ordering an extra side of the 8oz Green Sauce is often a great idea for dipping, drizzling, and adding a kick to every bite. For dessert, the Tres Leche sponge cake is a sweet and moist finish, soaked in three types of milk and offering a classic Latin American dessert experience.
In conclusion, choosing Bravo Peru means opting for an authentic, high-quality, and convenient Peruvian dining experience in the White Plains area. It is a professionally run local spot that takes pride in its flavorful food and fast service, perfectly positioned to become your favorite destination for a taste of Peru in New York. The positive customer feedback on dishes like the Lomo Saltado and the availability of diverse service options (delivery, takeout, dine-in) solidify its status as a highly valuable local restaurant for the Westchester community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Small place, but really good food. The service was great. Will definitely eat from there again.
August 23 · Mika Dean“La casa del Lomo Saltado” the flavor is delicious but not enough meat 🥩. The wait time is reasonable since he cooks it as soon as you order. The staff is ok does their job… they can do better.
January 15 · Rolando RosalesThis store is extremely inconsistent with their pricing. I feel like the prices have changed more than 10 times in the last two years. The food also isn’t that great anymore and they have downsized no portions. The lady at the front desk is really rude when she answers the phone and she put you on hold, it used to be a great place to dine now will never be back.
November 07 · Cy SaeedMy first time visiting downtown White Plains. Safe walking distance to a great local restaurant. Took out a dish of Saltado Lomo Mixto with a tasty mix of chicken and beef. The smoky flavor was fabulous! Check it out!!
November 08 · Jim LawlerThe place was close at 3:30pm. It still has the old restaurant sign in the front of the restaurant. Street parking.
