Crispy Cloud Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the dynamic and diverse culinary landscape of Queens, Crispy Cloud stands out as a unique and innovative local eatery, masterfully blending traditional Korean flavors with a modern, fast-casual approach. Positioned perfectly in Bayside, this establishment has quickly become a local favorite by offering two distinct, yet equally appealing, specialties: authentic Korean comfort food and a fantastic selection of contemporary desserts. It is recognized as both a Korean Restaurant and a dedicated Dessert Restaurant, a dual identity that caters to every craving from start to finish.
Crispy Cloud is more than just a place to grab a meal; it is an experience built on customization and speed. Locals are flocking here for the revolutionary "build-your-own" concept, particularly for their popular Bibimbap (Rice Bowl). Unlike the traditional, blistering hot stone pot versions, Crispy Cloud offers a cold-served bowl, topped with a warm fried egg, allowing patrons to meticulously choose their grain, protein (including fan-favorites like Beef Bulgogi), six fresh vegetables, toppings, and sauces. This level of personalization is a rarity among New York Korean restaurants, making it a highly valued local specialty.
Beyond the savory, the dessert selection has garnered equal attention. The name "Crispy Cloud" itself evokes the two pillars of their sweet menu: the delightful Taiyaki (fish-shaped pastry) and the silky smoothness of their Gelato. Additionally, they are highly sought after for authentic Korean street-food snacks like Korean Toasts and the trendy Croffles (a croissant-waffle hybrid). The overall atmosphere is Casual, highly Popular for Lunch, Dinner, and Solo Dining, and its reputation for Fast Service makes it an excellent choice for any New Yorker looking for a quick, high-quality, and satisfying meal in a welcoming environment.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 14.5 stars. This fast casual restaurant was recently featured in a local newspaper, so I decided to check them out. Crispy Cloud offers customizable bibimbap, acai bowls, smoothies, Taiyaki, Korean toasts, sandwiches and Croffles.I love the customizable approach to bibimbaps which is rare for most Korean restaurants. You get to choose the grain (white or multigrain rice), protein (there are 5 to choose from), veggies, toppings, and sauces. The bibimbap here is served cold and not the blisteringly hot stone pot version. In fact, the only thing hot (temperature wise) was the fried egg on top. I’ve had both versions of bibimbap, and my preference is usually the hot serving but I still thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. The gochujang (red chilli paste) they used had just the right amount of heat with slight sweet undertones which I loved. It really helped to perk up the dish.We also tried their Create-your-own acai bowl. I got a small 12 oz acai bowl, and it came with unlimited toppings. I got mine with strawberries, bananas, walnuts, and granola crumble. The acai itself was delicious and had the consistency of frozen ice cream (vs. soft serve). All of the fruit was fresh, and the granola crumble was slightly sweet. And for dessert, we got 2 Taiyakis with Nutella filling. It was so delicious, freshly made and piping hot. My only complaint is that I wished they had put more Nutella filling, but I think for most people it would be fine.Overall, it was a really great first visit. We enjoyed everything we ordered and will be back to try their Korean toast and Croffles.
November 20 · AmeliaCrispy Cloud opened at the beginning of November where TMB used to be. I had the beef bulgogi and spicy squid kim bob. I thought they were as good, if not a little better, than the same at Rolly Kimbap. Will have to try their customizable bibimbap-like rice bowl next time.Update - went back the next day and had a bulgogi rice bowl. It was great!
December 05 · Jeffrey TsaiVery nice atmosphere. First time coming after hearing about it for a while. The place was empty a little after lunch service. I ordered their sweet grilled chicken and fried chicken wings. I would say the fried chicken wings were crispy and juicy at the same time. I should of tried another sauce on the grilled chicken which was slathered in sweet sauce which I couldn't fully enjoy the flavor of grilled chicken itself. You get some radish and a small salad to balance out the heat with takeout service.
