Dirty Pierre's Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Nestled within the historic and picturesque cobblestone streets of Station Square, Dirty Pierre's stands as a long-standing, cherished institution in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens. Far more than just a place to grab a bite, this establishment successfully blends the cozy, casual feel of a local pub with the high-quality fare of a classic American restaurant, establishing itself as a true neighborhood gem. It's the kind of spot where you can enjoy a comforting meal, a fantastic drink, and the friendly, unpretentious atmosphere New Yorkers appreciate most. While it's particularly famous for its mouthwatering burgers and perfectly prepared mussels, the menu offers a diverse range of comfort food, bistro-style entrees, and hearty pub classics.
Dirty Pierre's has a rich history that, according to local sources, once leaned toward a French bistro concept. Today, it operates with a gastropub focus, maintaining an element of sophistication in its food preparation, evident from the background of its founding chef, a Cordon Bleu Grande Diplome graduate. This unique heritage is what elevates dishes like the French Onion Soup and Steak Au Poivre alongside what many locals consider one of the best burgers in the five boroughs. Whether you are looking for a quick bite, a satisfying lunch, a full-course dinner, or a vibrant late-night spot, Dirty Pierre's delivers an experience that is both trendy and reliably cozy. It’s also known to be the perfect spot for pre-concert dining due to its proximity to local venues, ensuring a fun, energetic vibe, and fast, attentive service.
Location and Accessibility
Dirty Pierre's is perfectly situated at 13 Station Square, Forest Hills, NY 11375, USA. This address places it directly in the heart of one of Queens’ most distinctive and charming areas—Station Square. The area is visually unique, with its Tudor-style architecture and cobblestone pavement, offering a scenic escape from the typical urban landscape.
For New Yorkers relying on public transportation, the accessibility is superb. The restaurant is located a mere minute's walk from the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Forest Hills station stop, making it easily reachable from Manhattan and other parts of Queens and Long Island. Furthermore, it is less than a 10-minute walk from the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station, which serves the E, F, M, and R train lines. This high level of connectivity makes it an excellent meeting spot for people coming from all over the city. While the quaint cobblestoned area has limited parking, and street parking can be challenging, especially on weekends and concert nights, patrons are highly encouraged to use the readily available public transit or ride-share services.

What is Worth Choosing
Choosing what to order at Dirty Pierre's can be challenging given the extensive menu, but local consensus points to a few absolute must-tries that make this spot famous. First and foremost, you absolutely must try the Bistro Burger. To truly experience the dish as a local connoisseur, order it with the Garlic Cheese and Shallots—the creamy, savory topping is legendary in the neighborhood.
Second on the list are the Mussels. While it may seem like an unusual choice for a burger and beer joint, the Mussels are consistently ranked by regulars as a top favorite. They are often featured on the weekend brunch menu as a half order option, demonstrating their versatility. Paired with a side of their excellent French Fries ($3.95), they make for a satisfying bistro experience.
For those seeking something heartier, the French Onion Soup ($5.95) is described as delicious and one of the best in the area, offering perfect comfort food. Finally, if you are visiting on a weekend, the Brunch Special is worth choosing, as it bundles a savory entree—such as Eggs Benedict or Steak and Eggs—with two cocktails (like their highly recommended Mimosas) for a great value, typically around the $17.95 mark. Dirty Pierre’s success lies in taking simple, classic pub fare and elevating it with quality ingredients and an undeniably fun, friendly New York spirit.

September 21 · Joseph LynchHad a great time here! Went in on a crazy busy afternoon before a concert and got in and served very quickly. The food was excellent and came out fast. There was a double charge on my card at the end of the night and Raquel the manager called me personally to take care of the refund. Great staff, that really cares. I recommend you check it out!
August 18 · Bradford PolakYou really can't go wrong with Dirty Pierre's, and honestly, it's been my wife and my go-to for almost a decade.First off, the burgers? Unreal. Seriously, I've had a lot of burgers, and these are consistently top-tier. But it's not just the food; the atmosphere here just hits different. It's always got this comfortable, lived-in feel, and the people are always great. You can tell it's a labor of love, and Raquel, is easily one of the best manager/owner in the neighborhood. She creates a vibe that genuinely welcomes any and everyone. And yeah, beyond the burgers, their white wine mussels are legit "to die for," and that sangria? It'll sneak up on you because you'll just want more of it. If you're looking for a place that nails the food, the vibe, and feels like a true local gem, you gotta check out Dirty Pierre's.Also, shout out to Matt, one of the best bartenders in the neighborhood!
June 28 · Rico OtwayDirty Pierre’s is a small but mighty neighborhood gem! They serve delish burgers, mussels, hearty steak sandwiches, plus so much more. (Tots. Why are these so good?!) Expect a loud, fun, local vibe. It’s a snug space - once you’ve devoured your meal, get up and let the next person experience the magic. Even with occasional lines it’s absolutely worth the wait—for both the food and the atmosphere.
July 03 · Terpsy PassamonteThis place is so fun, with great service and delicious food! The portions are extremely generous and reasonably priced, and everything was cooked to perfection. Even for such a small space, the wait was short on a Friday night. I love the decor and overall aesthetic and vibe of this place, and the energy here is top-notch! The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and hilarious, too. I’m not a big drinker, but they have a wide selection of beers and other drinks. This seems like a great neighborhood spot and I will definitely be back in the future!
