Eggy Weggy Introduce
For travelers moving through the bustling corridors of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), finding a reliable spot for a meal can be a priority. Located within the modern and extensive Terminal C, Eggy Weggy presents itself as an egg-forward breakfast bar and American restaurant concept designed to cater to the needs of passengers on the go. This establishment is part of the extensive culinary redevelopment in Terminal C, aiming to bring a varied and elevated dining experience to the airport environment.
As a local traveler departing from or arriving in New Jersey, you might be seeking an American-style breakfast, a strong cup of coffee, or a comforting quick bite before a flight. Eggy Weggy aims to fulfill this need, focusing on classic morning favorites within the often-hectic airport setting. The restaurant's presence in a major New Jersey travel hub makes it a distinct dining option for both local commuters and international tourists passing through the state.
Eggy Weggy identifies primarily as a Breakfast Restaurant, but its classifications also include Airport Dining, an American Restaurant, and a Cafe, reflecting its focused menu and travel-oriented setting. It offers a variety of quick, familiar options that align with a traditional American breakfast, making it a straightforward choice for those prioritizing convenience and familiarity during their journey.
Eggy Weggy is situated directly within Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This key location makes it highly accessible for ticketed passengers within the United Airlines hub, Terminal C. Terminal C at EWR is known for its sophisticated dining program and modern architecture, providing a significantly improved pre-flight experience for passengers. The official address is:
Newark Liberty International Airport, Terminal C, Brewster Rd, Newark, NJ 07114
The location is post-security, meaning you must be flying out of or connecting through Terminal C to access this spot. Accessibility is intrinsically linked to the airport's operations, making it an excellent resource for travelers passing through but not a destination for general local New Jersey residents unless they are traveling. The experience of dining here is uniquely tied to the atmosphere and demands of a busy, major airport terminal. Given the environment, customers should factor in extra time for the often-unpredictable service speeds that can be characteristic of high-traffic airport food venues, especially during peak travel hours.
The services offered at Eggy Weggy are tailored for the high-volume, quick-turnaround environment of an airport terminal. They focus on delivering meals for consumption either on the premises or to take aboard a flight. The core services include:
- Dine-in: Customers can eat their meal at the restaurant. It is designed with a casual atmosphere typical of a quick-service airport concept.
- Takeout: Meals are prepared for travelers who prefer to grab their order and continue to their gate or take it with them onto the plane.
- Order System: Ordering is frequently digital, utilizing iPads or kiosks common in the modern EWR Terminal C dining setup, although the efficiency of this system can vary based on operational factors.
- Payment Options: The establishment accepts major forms of electronic payment, including Credit Cards and Debit Cards, a necessary convenience for diverse travelers.
Eggy Weggy is designed to be a functional and approachable food service option for a broad range of travelers. Its features and highlights are directly related to its specific offerings and airport context:
- Focus on Breakfast: The primary appeal is its specialization in breakfast items, serving classic fare that is popular with solo diners and those needing a morning meal.
- Great Coffee: One of its recognized highlights is the quality of its coffee, a crucial offering for early-morning travelers or those facing long flights.
- Offerings for a Quick Bite: The menu is structured around quick-service items, providing an efficient option for travelers who have limited time before their boarding call. Offerings include Coffee, Comfort Food, and a Quick Bite focus.
- Casual Atmosphere: The setting is informal and welcoming, which is ideal for a brief stop during a journey.
- Good for Kids: The restaurant is considered suitable for families traveling with children, indicating that the environment and possibly the menu have kid-friendly elements.
- Target Crowd: The primary crowd consists of tourists and travelers, which is a key consideration for the overall dining environment and service demands.
- Dining Availability: The establishment offers both Breakfast and Lunch options, providing flexibility for those traveling later in the day.

Phone:

It is always advisable for travelers to check the most current information available, especially regarding hours of operation, as airport dining schedules are subject to change based on flight times and terminal activity.
For a New Jersey traveler passing through Newark Liberty International Airport, Eggy Weggy offers a compelling option if you are specifically seeking American comfort food and a dedicated breakfast menu within Terminal C. The choice is primarily worth considering for the following reasons:
- Menu Specificity: As a dedicated breakfast restaurant and café, it is a focused alternative to general food court offerings, providing options like breakfast sandwiches and omelets.
- Quality of Coffee: The highlight of "Great coffee" is a significant draw for many morning travelers needing a high-quality caffeine boost to start their journey.
- Convenience of Location: Located right inside Terminal C, it is conveniently accessible post-security, eliminating the need to search elsewhere for a quick meal before a flight.
However, an honest and professional assessment must include considerations based on public feedback. Patrons should be aware that customer reviews frequently cite significant issues, particularly regarding service speed and operational efficiency. The feedback suggests long wait times (often 20+ minutes) for simple items like a breakfast sandwich, and some concerns about order accuracy and food quality (e.g., dry potatoes, soggy bacon, overcooked eggs). This is a critical factor for airport dining, where passengers are on strict schedules.
Traveler Advisory: If you are on an extremely tight schedule, the consistent reports of slow service and inefficiency are strong indicators that you should allocate significant extra time for your order, or consider a grab-and-go market option elsewhere in the terminal. If time is plentiful and you are set on a classic American breakfast and a good cup of coffee, the restaurant offers the core items you seek. Tourists often make up the crowd, and solo dining is popular, which speaks to its suitability as a functional spot for individual travelers to grab a meal before departure. The decision to choose Eggy Weggy should be made with a clear understanding of the trade-off between its appealing menu focus and the widely reported operational challenges.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A lot of people waiting... the two spots (Eggy Weggy and the Burger place next door) were combining to make the breakfast items. The serving size was good, albeit mildly more expensive as per the airport pricing. However, service was very slow - the name they called out was often unclear and they didn't even know why my order didn't show up or was removed... or something. Ended up waiting 20min on a side of bacon and potatoes (both of which were ready in the back). And they only noticed only after I stepped up to ask them about it... no sense of looking up and wondering, I guess.Digital order so not even something easy to show on a slip of paper.Size of the order good - bowl of potatoes were dry and no hot sauce in the vicinity, ketchup didn't do it. The bowl of bacon wasn't crisp, just a lumpy soggy mass... sadly just dumped them both as it was hard to eat. Pass next time.
September 20 · Hank ChangDo everyone a favor and go somewhere else. We gave this place a second chance after a terrible first time. They are incredibly slow and inefficient, taking at least 5min to get a single order through so be prepared to wait at least 20min for a single sandwich. They don’t know what a scrambled egg is and the eggs that they do cook are overcooked. They’ve also messed up our order both times and had to take more time to fix it. There’s no reason for this place to have as many customers as it does …
October 08 · Brian WongI spent $46.98 here this morning (9/4 around 5:45–5:50 AM) on a breakfast sandwich and eggs any style. After waiting over 35 minutes, I had to abandon my food to make my flight. The server was only cooking one single item at a time with no urgency, even though it wasn’t particularly busy. This made the experience incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, especially during a morning airport rush when speed is essential.I walked away without eating anything, and based on other reviews I’ve since read, this slow service seems to be a common issue here. Definitely not worth the time or money
September 04 · Cassandra McCarthyUnfortunately, I did not check the reviews for this place or I would have gone somewhere else. After I ordered, I waited over 15 minutes for my food, and had to ultimately leave my order behind to avoid missing my flight. If you are on a tight schedule (which most people are when they’re traveling) and you wish to eat the food you’re paying for, I recommend going somewhere different. The atmosphere was average, I have nothing positive or negative to say about that.
July 05 · Raymond FelinsStaff really hates working. Closed up shop early, and took so long to get a breakfast sandwich even though no one in line. Food was OK, at best. But clearly no one is happy working there and it shows.
