El Café at Ora: Sunnyside’s Botanical Escape and Community Hub
In a city constantly searching for its next great escape, El Café at Ora delivers a unique and tranquil destination right in the heart of Sunnyside, Queens. It is more than just a café; it is the seamless fusion of Ora La Casa De Las Flores, a highly regarded boutique floral studio, and an inviting coffee bar. This hybrid concept creates an environment unlike any other in New York, offering locals a sensory sanctuary where the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee blends beautifully with the delicate scent of fresh-cut, sustainable flowers.
Located on 43rd Avenue, this spot has quickly become a beloved neighborhood favorite for its unique ambiance and dedication to quality. The space itself, characterized by "Beautiful interior with florals," provides a refreshing and cozy atmosphere that encourages both quick visits and leisurely dine-in experiences. For New Yorkers tired of sterile, purely transactional coffee shops, El Café at Ora offers a genuine sense of warmth and creativity. It is the perfect place to meet a friend, work remotely amidst botanical beauty, or simply treat yourself to a moment of quiet reflection away from the city’s relentless pace.
What truly sets this establishment apart is the commitment to local, high-quality offerings. The café has earned a reputation for its excellent beverages, backed by customer praise for both the Great coffee and Great tea selection. Furthermore, the "Quick bite" and "Dessert" offerings are anything but ordinary, often featuring collaborations with other local artisans, such as a specialized Filipino-American bakery, ensuring that every pastry or sweet treat is fresh, inventive, and delicious. This focus on community partnership and a distinct, visually stunning environment makes El Café at Ora a true gem and a must-visit destination in the vibrant landscape of Queens.
The dual nature of the business—a functioning, creative floral studio paired with a high-quality café—is its signature strength. Customers can sip on an expertly crafted coconut americano (a specific drink praised by reviewers for its creamy texture) while surrounded by bouquets, botanical products, and unique gifts, turning a simple coffee run into a complete, delightful local experience.

August 07 · Lilan NguyenWhat a cute spot! It’s a wonderful flower shop and you can order coffee and hang with all of the beautiful flowers. Amazing!
May 10 · Martina RusevaI can’t believe it’s taken me this long to give them a 5 star review! They are our go-to for coffee (and matcha), flowers/plants, and every day gifts.Their attention to detail is worth mentioning —the Ora team is always looking for new ways to beautify their space e.g. they just took some of their dried flowers and added resin to create the most beautiful table top for their coffee station.I can’t recommend this place enough and neither can my pup!
August 27 · Monica MartinezMy favorite spot in the neighborhood they are a great place to enjoy great coffee, get precious and fresh flowers but not only that, the merch they carry is nice, different and peculiar. Owners are attentive to details and they also rent the beautiful space for private events and hay their own candle lab… You can see the love and effort they put into this place. 100% recommended
