What is Worth Choosing
The Paris Café
is a distinctive choice among Queens, NY dining options, and its value goes beyond the convenience of its airport location. For New Yorkers and those visiting the city, choosingThe Paris Café
offers a three-part experience that is hard to match.First, you gain access to the celebrated cuisine of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in an environment that is more casual than his signature Manhattan spots. The menu is robust, offering something for every palate—from classic comfort food options like the
Cheddar Cheeseburger
($26.00) to more globally-inspired dishes like the popularCrispy Salmon Sushi
($22.00) or the seasonally refreshingSpring Pea Soup
($16.00). The combination of high-quality ingredients with a chef-driven approach ensures a satisfying and elevated meal, whether you're having breakfast, lunch, or a full dinner.Second, the ambiance is truly a one-of-a-kind New York experience. Dining in the former TWA Flight Center is an immersion into mid-century design. The retro-chic vibes, the sheer architecture of the Saarinen terminal, and the adjacent historic features like the
Connie
cocktail lounge make a meal here a destination in itself. It is a perfect spot for an unconventional date night, a special family gathering, or simply impressing out-of-town guests before they catch a flight. It’s an escape from the city hustle while technically still being in Queens. Finally, the operational focus on quality service and accessibility makes the experience stress-free. The restaurant is popular among tourists, but its commitment to fast, friendly service, along with its accessible seating and amenities, ensures a comfortable visit for all. Whether you have a long layover and want to turn it into a fun mini-vacation—as one patron suggested—or you’re a local making a special trip,
The Paris Café

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Beautiful retro future vibes continue here from the rest of the hotel, and the food is definitely passable and sometimes even tasty, but the price isn’t justified for what you get. When we sat down one of the glasses at our table was filthy and I swapped it with a clean one nearby.Cocktails are obnoxiously sweet unless you ask them to tone it down. Menu posted downstairs may not match what’s upstairs depending on season or time of day - but it’s generally too horribly crowded (maybe there’s a reason?)I’m giving the rest of the TWA venue a glowing 5 star review, but the cafe is a real weak spot. It feels like there should be a higher tier dining establishment for such a large hotel with so much history and… space available for one? Maybe? Odd for sure.$300 sweaters downstairs are a…. Not great sign. They’re cashing in on the immense retro future charm of this place. It’s costly to run, for sure- but with the prices being paid, the quality should match, no?
May 18 · NoahWe visited in May 2025. I would recommend this place. We had a long layover. A local told us about this place. We walked over here with all our luggage in tow. The restaurant is inside the TWA hotel. The hotel is cool in a retro way. We were able to store our luggage under the counter. There was no wait for a table. The wait staff was super friendly. The food was really good. The pizza and salmon sushi were my favorite. Even the salad was excellent. We spent a few hours eating and drinking. Watched a wedding take place in the lobby. It was a fun experience versus sitting in the terminal. There is also a plane in the back of the hotel that they turned into a bar.
July 03 · Josh HHOW TO GET IN: it’s very easy to walk in they have plenty of seats. I love the inside of the restaurant. It’s all very retro. The tuna was so good. So was the soup and the pudding. The lychee drink I got was great too. I didn’t like the Caesar salad. It was bland. And the service took way too long. But it was still a great meal.
May 16 · Neha LuthraBefore you look at the menu, keep in mind you are in NYC and at an airport, then the prices are not so shocking. We started with drinks. I had the raspberry lychee bellini. I don't recommend it unless you like sweet tarts. But there is a large selection of wine, beer and liquor. We had the meatball appetizer. There were 4 small meatballs, lots of sauce and 2 large pieces of toast. They also give you a small bread basket. The tomatoes sauce with the meatballs was spicy, but in a good way, and there was plenty of sauce to dab your bread as well. The chicken breast entree was good size and tasty with artichokes and lemon but not over lemony. Sides are separate and additional cost so be sure you are hungry before ordering. Nadine was our Server and was very attentive and pleasant. When looking at dessert, also remember there is a food shop downstairs with shakes, cookies and cheesecake. For the glass of wine, one cocktail, one appetizer and one entree (no sides), it was $93, but again, airport/NYC. If you want more drinks, there is the Connie outside, the bar in the restaurant and another bar downstairs so take your time and enjoy it all.
June 18 · Theresa EspositoThe staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered 3 plates and paid more than I wanted but that's what they charge here. The only thing we didn't like was the pancakes, they looked nice but tasted off.
