Etihad Airways Lounge Introduce
For travelers departing from New York, the journey begins the moment they step into the exceptional Etihad Airways Lounge. Situated in Jamaica, Queens—a crucial hub for international travel in the greater New York area—this premium facility (now operating as the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club with Etihad Airways) is a true urban oasis designed to transform your pre-flight experience from a mundane wait into a moment of pure, sophisticated relaxation. Far exceeding the standard airport terminal environment, this lounge provides an elegant, upscale retreat where comfort, world-class dining, and impeccable service converge, setting a new benchmark for luxury travel departing from JFK.
The original design of the Etihad Lounge was inspired by the striking ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ identity, translating the shifting geometry of the Arabian desert dunes and traditional Emirati patterns into a stunning, three-dimensional luxury space. Even today, following its recent partnership and renovation, the lounge maintains this core aesthetic—a blend of mid-century modern style with traditional elements—creating an atmosphere that is at once cozy, contemporary, and profoundly tranquil. It's an ideal setting for both business travelers needing to focus and leisure guests looking to unwind, providing a serene escape from the typical airport bustle, especially when compared to other, often over-crowded, lounges in JFK.
Location and Accessibility
The lounge is strategically located within John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), specifically in Terminal 4, making it highly accessible for premium passengers flying from this terminal. Terminal 4 is one of JFK’s largest and busiest international gateways, and having this luxury lounge conveniently located nearby is a significant benefit for New Yorkers and visitors traveling internationally. The address is officially listed as Jamaica, NY 11430, USA, placing it directly in the heart of JFK’s operational zone.
Once you have passed through the security checkpoint in Terminal 4, the lounge can be found on Level 4. For those concerned about accessibility, the lounge features both a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible restroom, ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience for all guests. Its co-location near the American Express Centurion Lounge highlights its status as one of the premier luxury spaces at JFK. This location, post-security, means you can enjoy the lounge's full range of amenities without the stress of rushing through the security process moments before your flight.
Access to this premium lounge is available to eligible Etihad guests flying First or Business Class, as well as select elite status holders. In its current operation as a partner with Chase Sapphire, the lounge also welcomes Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers and other eligible cardholders with a Priority Pass Select membership. This expanded access ensures that a wider segment of discerning travelers departing from New York can experience its celebrated amenities and world-class service. It's recommended to confirm your eligibility and access times, as entry is typically permitted up to three or three and a half hours prior to your scheduled flight departure, ensuring the space remains a calm and pleasant environment for all.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The Etihad Lounge at JFK offers an exceptional pre-flight experience that combines luxury, comfort, and attentive service. The moment you enter, you're greeted with a calm, refined atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing before a long flight. The lounge is beautifully designed, with elegant décor and comfortable seating, creating a serene environment that feels more like a boutique hotel than an airport lounge. One of the standout features is the dining experience. The à la carte menu offers a range of high-quality dishes, from Middle Eastern specialties to international favorites, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The selection of drinks, including premium wines and expertly crafted cocktails, complements the food perfectly. The lounge also offers great amenities, including private shower suites, which are a fantastic way to refresh before a long-haul flight. The fast Wi-Fi and well-appointed workstations are ideal for business travelers, and there's plenty of space to either work in peace or simply relax.
June 07 · carlos borgesEnjoy to the very bustle-y American Express lounge. I enjoy the atmosphere and the openness of the design better. There’s just not that much space but I think that’s the case for all of JFK.Service was great. The staff were friendly and walked around often enough to pick up after people in a timely manner and they were very helpful. If you ordered food and drinks off of their menu came out pretty fast. The self serve food was really good and I like that they are portioned in a way that you don’t waste as much food as I have seen in other lounges. I would just ask for a little more variety.Otherwise, the Wi-Fi was great the ability to charge my electronics and focus on doing work or watching movies and shows on my devices felt very good comfortable.
December 05 · Isaiah JacksonThank goodness for this lounge because they offer showers and the shower facilities in the Centurion lounge next-door we’re not working. This lounge also accepts Priority Pass, but you can only use it once per year for the Chase Sapphire, lounges.I like it because it is nice and new although it is fairly small. You will most likely have to put your name on a waiting list because they only allow 125 people maximum in the lounge at any given time. The downside of this lounge is that children run and scream at will and people are on speakerphone with no regard for their surroundings. I wish the staff would enforce policies.
April 20 · Brooks JonesIf I could give this lounge a zero star, I would. This place is a complete joke. First of all, it is so tiny. It fills up pretty fast with not much seating to choose from. Some seating areas are assigned for families while others are for single travelers. The bathroom is so small, has only ONE SHOWER. Food selection is unbearably limited. The buffet did not have much to offer except light salads and arabic appetizers. So I decided to order directly from the restaurant by the QR code on the table. Once again, not many choices but at least better than the buffet. I ordered basic burger with fries and the burger cane without fries. When I asked one of the waitresses she told me “sorry, but the frying machine is broking”. Are you kidding me? This is absurd. There is no drinking water here except their so-called “spa water” which is a funky drink that looks like the urine of a hydrated person. Absolutely disgusting.I understand this is not the main airport for Etihad airways, but you can do better. You can certainly do better than this none sense. This complete joke dressed as a “luxury lounge” in disguise. I feel robbed. And I hope no one feels the same way. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOUNGE.
June 21 · bThis is the Chase Sapphire lounge now. The wait is a bit annoying when it’s rush hour but the service and ambience is worth it. Very chill and relaxing, great service, great food.
