Farmstand NYC Reviews
Was really hoping for something fresh, but I got the complete opposite. As soon as I took the lid off the salad, I knew something was up, because it had the faint smell of the compost my mom would keep in her backyard. Right off the bat, about 20% of the leaves of lettuce were already black. I did my best to pick these off and enjoy the other 80%, but the taste they left behind was too strong. The only thing that overpowered the taste of the rot was the vinegar of the cauliflower that straight up stripped the taste buds of my tongue; the pickled veggies could generally be toned down.Hopefully I caught this place on a down day, as I wanted to like it, and I’ve never had a bad experience in this urbanspace. That said, I definitely will not be giving it another shot. I could only stomach a few forkfuls of the thing, and that was more than enough for me.
November 24 · J. Leo HirschThe beach body ready salad today was ok. The troubling part was the service staff. The male staff member with large glasses and a hat made two condescending comments towards me. Will not be going back as it was a poor experience. Why put up with that negative energy when there are so many other options better than this average place?
October 08 · AaronThese salads are something to get excited about. Never knew that getting lettuce from a farm this close to the city could make the whole salad taste so much better. Definitely get The Everything salad, based on an everything bagel. It's got a house made goat cheese that will make your brain melt.
