Five Guys Introduce
For residents and visitors in the Connecticut region searching for a consistently satisfying, classic American fast food experience, the Five Guys location in Fairfield stands out as a major local destination. Positioned at 340 Grasmere Ave, this establishment operates as a hybrid—a fast food restaurant, a dedicated hamburger spot, and an American restaurant all in one, focusing on a straightforward menu executed with attention to freshness and customization. It also falls under the categories of a hot dog restaurant and hot dog stand, confirming its specialization in beloved, simple American fare.
The core appeal of Five Guys is the promise of a quality, quick bite experience. The menu intentionally centers around customizable burgers, hot dogs, and their signature fries, ensuring that the focus remains on delivering these core products effectively. Unlike some traditional fast-food models, the atmosphere here is decidedly casual, welcoming groups and families looking for a convenient and reliable meal. Whether you are seeking a traditional lunch or a quick dinner, this spot is known to be popular with local solo diners and groups alike, making it a versatile option in the Fairfield dining landscape.
The dedication to providing a tailored meal is a key differentiator. The standard menu offers plenty of variation, from the classic Hamburger and Cheeseburger to the Bacon Burger and Bacon Cheeseburger. For those who prefer smaller portions, the menu includes “Little” versions of the Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, and Bacon Cheeseburger. The offerings extend beyond beef, including the Kosher Style Hot Dog, Cheese Dog, Bacon Dog, and Bacon Cheese Dog. Non-meat options are also available, such as the Veggie Sandwich, Cheese Veggie Sandwich, Grilled Cheese, and a classic BLT.
Adding to the experience is the famous fresh-cut french fries, which can be ordered either "Five Guys Style" or with a kick as "Cajun Style." For dessert or a treat, the Milk Shake rounds out the selection. This commitment to a limited but deep menu allows the restaurant to focus on quality ingredients and preparation, which is what draws many local patrons in the Connecticut area to this particular location.

What is worth choosing
For Connecticut residents, choosing Five Guys in Fairfield is primarily about seeking a high-quality, customizable fast-food experience centered around classic American favorites. The menu, specializing in hamburgers, hot dogs, and fresh-cut fries—including the sought-after Cajun Style—is the main draw. The ability to tailor every burger and dog to precise preferences, coupled with the availability of both "Little" and regular portions, ensures that every patron can find a satisfying meal.
The diverse service options, including dine-in, delivery, and no-contact delivery, offer significant convenience, accommodating various lifestyles, whether you need a quick counter service meal during lunch or a delivered dinner. The atmosphere, being casual and accommodating for groups and kids (with high chairs available), confirms its place as a reliable family-friendly spot.
However, local users should manage expectations regarding certain aspects of the operation, as is common with high-volume fast-food franchises. Factual customer feedback has occasionally highlighted inconsistencies, specifically citing issues like food preparation (e.g., raw meat, sub-par fries) and service execution (e.g., incorrect orders, inattentive staff, and prioritization of mobile orders). Potential patrons should be aware that, as with any high-traffic location, the service quality can vary. It is always wise to inspect an order immediately upon receiving it, especially when utilizing takeout or delivery services, to ensure the food meets the expected standard of quality and safety.
Furthermore, customers have noted that the pricing may be considered high relative to the fast-food category. This perception often stems from the commitment to fresh ingredients and customization, which distinguishes it from lower-cost chains. For those in the Connecticut area, the decision to choose Five Guys is an investment in that premium fast-food experience—a focus on freshness, custom toppings, and the distinct taste of the fries—rather than merely the lowest-priced option. The consistent availability of free parking and its commitment to full accessibility further enhances the overall value proposition for local users prioritizing convenience and ease of visit.
Ultimately, the Fairfield Five Guys is worth choosing for its adherence to a simple, effective model: fresh, customizable burgers, excellent fries, and highly accessible dining options. While users should remain vigilant about order accuracy and food quality, the foundational offerings remain a top-tier choice for a quick, substantial American meal in the Connecticut locale.
With its wide range of payment options, free parking, and accommodating atmosphere, it remains a pillar in the local quick-service sector, catering effectively to the lunch and dinner rush for solo diners, families, and groups alike.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Raw burger and fries from rotten potatoes!! Major food safety issues tonight.I eat here all the time and have never had an issue until today and it was vile. Ordered from a UberEats. When we unwrapped the burgers there were condiments everywhere. Like three times as much as required. Mildly annoying, and very messy, but scraped off the extra ketchup, mustard etc. and moved on. Poured out the fries to see that half were made from rotten potatoes! Rotten black patches through the fries! When I finally got around to taking a few bites of my burger I see that the burger is raw inside. Not pink, but purple. My son had already eaten his entire burger before I saw mine was raw! Called the restaurant immediately and the manager simply said “Really sorry about that” and hung up. Hoping for the safety of anyone eating there they pulled the cooks off the line and gave them some additional training.
January 26 · Karin DaleI'm local and come here to treat myself. I used to enjoy it. Not anymore. First, it is a dead, joyless atmosphere. Second, they cater to mobile orders over diners. Third, their employees are either hostile or incompetent or both. On the last visit, one called my number, saw me coming towards her, made eye contact, then ignored me for five minutes before handing the bag to me (they put it on shelves behind the counter). The other employee forgot my milkshake order. This is typical of their "service" over the past few years. The buns tasted low end. Their portions are shrinking. I left feeling half empty. And to top it off, their prices are way too high. This franchise and this location is in big trouble. I am not returning unless they make big changes starting at the top.
August 10 · ScottIt's too expensive. They're lucky In N Out Burger isn't around. I got their small bacon cheeseburger, a small fries, and a drink. It cost my almost $18. What a rip-off. I could've got a number two at In N Out for around $10 in Reno and which is essentially the the same, but the cheeseburger was a double double. That's two patties. I'm so done with Five Guys.
July 07 · Jefferson SI ordered Cajun fries well done, had the cashier confirm she heard me because it wasn’t on the ticket. She talked to the fry cook, instead of getting well done fries I got someone else’s leftover fries from earlier, the soggiest most raw fries I have seen out of five guys. This was my final trip to this location.
February 27 · Ben LaVigneWe did a fundraiser for our middle school seniors, filled out all the proper paperwork, was in constant communication with the manager and still never received the funds from our fundraiser. To rob children of their rightful funds that would’ve been used to help pay for senior activities is just beyond horrible and sad. Absolute disappointment.
