Fornino Introduce
For anyone in New York City with a love for authentic pizza, Fornino is a name that needs no introduction. Since its inception in Williamsburg in 2004, Fornino has carved out a reputation as a leader in the city’s artisanal pizza scene. It is a place where pizza-making is not just a job, but a genuine art form, blending traditional techniques with a creative and modern approach to ingredients. The result is a menu that is both deeply rooted in Italian culinary tradition and excitingly innovative. This establishment, a true Brooklyn favorite, has earned accolades and recognition from major publications, cementing its place as a top destination for pizza lovers.
The restaurant's philosophy, guided by Chef and owner Michael Ayoub, is centered on three generations of pizza. The menu starts with "The First Generation" of pies, which are authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas, adhering to strict Italian standards. This is followed by "The Second Generation," which explores traditional flavors from various regions of Italy. Finally, "The Third Generation" represents Fornino's own unique and creative combinations, born from years of culinary expertise. This historical and creative journey is evident in every bite, from the perfectly charred, chewy crust to the meticulously sourced, high-quality toppings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Obsessed as per usual!I just visited this spot yesterday, it is a gorgeous location. I love the time out market they have gorgeous outdoor seating with views of the Brooklyn Bridge. Great for photographs or just to enjoy the weather with a delicious pizza of your choice. Fornino is my favorite pizza hands-down every time they never miss. I feel like Chef Michael puts so much of himself into the menu in terms of ingredients, selection, and the philosophy behind the dough making, and you could taste that. Visiting this location was no different and I just realized they have a new menu item here, an Arancini topped with Petrossian caviar.I had to order it and was pleasantly surprised, not a fan of caviar typically but like this it was so delicious. I ate the entire order. 🤩 I also ordered their summer pies, one of which was topped with pistachio peaches and pesto. It was like a taste bud celebration. 😍 Everything that comes out of that kitchen is gold.
July 31 · Jahleah SantiagoFornino makes some of the best pizza I’ve had in Brooklyn. The wood-fired crust is chewy, light, and full of flavor—you actually want to eat every bite of the crust. The toppings are creative and balanced; I loved how fresh the ingredients tasted, especially on the Funghi and Margherita pies. The menu has a nice mix of classics and more modern options, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is friendly without being pushy. If you go to the Brooklyn Bridge Park location, the view of the skyline while enjoying great pizza is unbeatable.Prices are fair for the quality, and I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic, delicious pizza in NYC.
August 26 · Emmy Siripa V.As a New Yorker, this is was the worst pizza I’ve eaten. Honestly just don’t order this pizza. We got the margherita pizza & fig / prosciutto pizzaWORST DECISION EVER!The sauce for the margherita didn’t taste right. Literally not good.We tried to be adventurous and tried the fig / prosciutto. It was the worst tasting pizza I’ve ever had.For a total of $43 for 2 small pizzas. NOT WORTH! You might as well go outside and do the sit in restaurant and try their pizza. We wasted our money here.If you’re trying to find a food place in the food court, go to the barbecue spot right next to it.
September 09 · Francis LamWent for the PPPP, which was a prosciutto, peach, pesto and pistachio summer seasonal pie and loved it. The creativity behind Fornino’s pies is second to none and it’s an absolute must visit when you find yourself in Brooklyn. The arancini with caviar on top was also an indulgence I won’t forget. 10/10
