★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've lived in this hood for 17 years and Fort Washington Bakery and Deli has been my go to for bacon, egg, cheese, mayo and avocado on a roll. Simply delicious but the true draw is the chicken torta. I have tried to find a better torta throughout the US states bordering Mexico....but the torta in Washington Heights is still the best. No kidding. Cash only and truly delightful staff.
May 27 · monte isomThe best Mexican omelette wraps. Love coming here.It makes my day happy thank you
April 25 · Logan MarkThis is what a neighborhood place is all about. The people behind the counter were fast and friendly. The apricot pastry I had was perfect: flaky, sweet but not overly so, and affordable. I'll be back again and again.
December 12 · Audrey M AtkinsonWe lived in this neighborhood from February '99 to September '05 and this was our go-to bakery & deli. Best prices, best food and best service all in one!Two decades later and it's still the best. We stop in every time we come back to visit our old neighborhood and it's still every bit as good. You literally can't get better challah or hamantashen in Jerusalem.
December 13 · Bill GarrityFort Washington Bakery & Deli has great egg sandwiches and dessert options!! During the holidays, their Christmas cookies & pumpkin pie are great to bring to your friend or family gathering. Highly recommend! Note: I believe they are cash only, so come prepared!!
