Fuku Omakase Introduce
In a city where omakase experiences can often come with an astronomical price tag, Fuku Omakase presents a refreshing and much-needed alternative. Located in the picturesque West Village, this sushi restaurant offers an intimate, exclusive, and affordable tasting experience that doesn't compromise on quality. It's not just a meal; it's a meticulously curated journey through the finest and freshest seafood, all within a small, nine-seat setting that creates a personal and cozy atmosphere. For New Yorkers looking for a high-end sushi experience without the hefty bill, Fuku Omakase is a standout choice that has earned a devoted following.
The concept of "omakase," which means "I'll leave it up to you," is at the heart of Fuku Omakase. The 13-piece tasting course, priced at a very reasonable $75, allows diners to put their trust in the skilled hands of the chef. The menu changes to showcase the best seasonal ingredients, but always includes a diverse array of expertly prepared nigiri. As one reviewer noted, the fish is "fresh" and the rice is "flavorful," with each course getting "better with each bite." The experience is a true testament to the chef's artistry and a showcase of pristine seafood, often sourced directly from Japan.
One of the most appealing aspects of Fuku Omakase is its unique BYOB policy with no corkage fee. This allows patrons to bring their favorite wine, sake, or other beverages (with some alcohol percentage limitations) to pair with their meal, making the experience even more personalized and cost-effective. The staff, described by customers as "so friendly" and "knowledgeable," often adds to the experience, with one reviewer mentioning how their waitress made their night by letting them try some sake. This kind of personal and warm service transforms a simple dinner into a memorable night out, creating a space that feels both trendy and deeply welcoming.
The intimate space with only nine seats ensures that every guest receives a personal and attentive experience. This is a rare find in a bustling city like New York, and it's what makes Fuku Omakase an ideal choice for a romantic date, a special occasion, or a peaceful solo meal. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of cozy and trendy, and the bar seating allows diners to watch the culinary artisans at work, turning fresh ingredients into masterful dishes.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Loved the omakase experience at Fuku. All of the fish was fresh and the rice flavorful. We enjoyed all of the courses. You can add on more at the end, given there is time. It’s BYOB. Our waitress Amo really made our night. She was so friendly and even let us try some sake. Reservation required. Reasonably priced. Street parking.
September 07 · Jordan NAn incredible Omakase experience in the west village. Small space with 9 seats available. 13 course menu that gets better with each bite. fairly priced at $75 for tasting. The finish of A5 Wagyu followed by Unagi was absolutely amazing. Fresh, flavorful fish.
September 13 · Michael MendelsohnI came here thanks to a recommendation for my birthday during my NYC trip. Absolutely loved it! The vibes were amazing, the food was to die for. Love that it was BYOB and could bring a wine of my choice. Thank you to the servers and chefs for making my first omakase experience a great one.
July 27 · Maricris TamayoThis was such a special experience. The chef was phenomenal and very friendly and interactive, as were the hosts. By far the best omakase we’v had, as the fish was very fresh and prepared right in front of you. Highly recommend!
August 03 · Danielle DefoeAmazing night with great food and company. Chefs and owner were attentive and very friendly, cracking jokes and engaging with everyone. Each piece was well thought out with nothing overpowering the main ingredients. They can accommodate for allergies and swap out pieces that you don't want to try but I would highly recommend trying all of them since the quality of their fish is really good. Would come back every time!!! 超好吃 👍🏻👍🏻
