Kaiten Zushi Nomad | AYCE Conveyor Belt Sushi, Japanese Restaurant in NYC Introduce
In a city that loves to innovate, Kaiten Zushi Nomad brings a truly unique and engaging dining experience to the heart of New York. Known as a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, this spot takes a traditional Japanese concept and gives it a modern, high-tech twist. Located in the vibrant NoMad neighborhood, Kaiten Zushi is more than just a place to grab a quick bite; it's an interactive and fun culinary journey. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to the experience, the combination of delicious food and a futuristic delivery system makes this a standout destination for locals and tourists alike.
The atmosphere at Kaiten Zushi is a blend of casual, cozy, and trendy. The main feature is, of course, the conveyor belt that snakes through the restaurant, but here, it’s used in an innovative way. Instead of grabbing pre-made plates as they pass by, you order your desired items on a tablet at your table, and the sushi is prepared fresh and sent directly to you on the belt. This ensures that every piece of sushi you receive is made to order, guaranteeing peak freshness and quality. This dining style makes Kaiten Zushi a great choice for a solo meal, a casual lunch with colleagues, or a fun dinner outing with friends and family.
Kaiten Zushi Nomad is conveniently located at 276 5th Ave, New York, NY 10001. This prime address places it right in the bustling NoMad district, just a short distance from major transit hubs and popular attractions. Its proximity to both Midtown and the Flatiron District makes it an easy stop for those working in the area or anyone exploring the city.
Accessibility is a key part of the restaurant's appeal. It is easily reachable by multiple subway lines and bus routes, and for those who choose to drive, both free and paid street parking options are available in the surrounding area, though, as any New Yorker knows, finding a spot can be a challenge. The restaurant's welcoming and straightforward layout makes it accessible to a variety of patrons, including families with young children who will appreciate the high chairs and a kid-friendly atmosphere.
Kaiten Zushi is designed to cater to the fast-paced life of New Yorkers, offering a range of convenient and flexible service options.
- Dine-in: The signature dining experience is available with a choice of seating, allowing you to enjoy the unique conveyor belt system and robotic beverage delivery.

- No-Contact Delivery and Delivery: The entire menu is available for delivery, with no-contact options to ensure a safe and seamless experience. This service allows you to enjoy fresh sushi and Japanese comfort food from the comfort of your home or office.

These comprehensive services highlight the restaurant's commitment to making its delicious food accessible to everyone.
What truly makes Kaiten Zushi a special place are its unique and innovative features.
- The Conveyor Belt Experience: This is the star of the show. Unlike traditional revolving sushi restaurants, you order what you want on a tablet, and it’s delivered directly to your table via a personalized conveyor belt. This eliminates the uncertainty of waiting for your favorite plate to come around and guarantees freshness.
- Robotic Delivery: A fun and futuristic touch is the small robot that zips around to deliver drinks to your table. This novelty is a hit with kids and adults and adds to the playful, modern atmosphere.
- Extensive Menu: The menu goes far beyond simple sushi rolls. It includes a vast selection of nigiri, hand rolls, and specialty rolls, as well as a wide range of appetizers like gyoza and tempura. For those who want something other than sushi, the menu also features a variety of donburi and ramen.
- Variety of Offerings: Kaiten Zushi provides a wide range of choices to suit different tastes and dietary needs, including healthy options, vegan and vegetarian dishes, and small plates perfect for sampling. The bar onsite also offers a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
- Fast Service: The tablet-based ordering system and the efficient conveyor belt delivery mean that the service is exceptionally fast. This makes it a great spot for a quick lunch break or a time-sensitive meal.
These highlights combine to make Kaiten Zushi a top contender for a delicious and memorable dining experience in New York City.

The friendly and professional staff are ready to assist you and ensure your visit is a pleasant one.
For any New Yorker looking for a unique and high-value dining experience, Kaiten Zushi Nomad is an absolute must-try. The all-you-can-eat option on weekends is a phenomenal deal, providing a chance to sample a huge variety of dishes without worrying about the cost. The best way to approach this is to try a little bit of everything. The nigiri, in particular, is highly recommended, with fresh fish and a perfect rice-to-fish ratio. Don’t miss out on the "Salmon Mayo" nigiri, a customer favorite.
While the conveyor belt is a highlight, the à la carte menu is also praised for its excellent quality. For a deeper dive into their offerings, consider ordering dishes like the "Unagi Don" or a bowl of "Tonkotsu Ramen" to get a taste of their wider Japanese menu. The combination of classic favorites and more unique items ensures there is always something new to try. The excellent customer service, particularly the attentive and professional staff, makes a significant difference, turning a simple meal into a truly enjoyable occasion. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great experience here! I originally thought this spot was a conveyor belt sushi where the plates go around and you grab it as it comes but it’s more so where you order it and it comes directly to you via the conveyor belt. It was a really fun experience and the sushi was great. The food came out really quickly. They also had a cute little robot bringing your drinks around. Highly recommend their nigiris (the salmon mayo was the best!!). Staff were super nice and attentive as well. For the weekends, it’s $50pp for ayce. Definitely a fun spot to try out!
September 07 · Wisely ChangWhile the sushi here is a bit mid, I’m still giving this place five stars because of the excellent value for money and the exceptional customer service from our server, JP. We’ve visited this branch a few times, and this was our second time being taken care of by JP. His service was truly spectacular. He’s the definition of hospitality: attentive, professional, and incredibly warm. It’s rare to come across someone who consistently goes above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and well taken care of.As for the food, we definitely prefer the à la carte menu. The options are better and the quality seems noticeably higher compared to the all-you-can-eat menu. The ambiance is great and gives you a fun preview of what a conveyor belt sushi experience is like in Japan.
July 11 · Bong Arquiza3.5 for me. The lunch time pricing is a great deal and if you have small children under 12 they have a really reasonable fixed price for them for both lunch and dinner too. Food indeed was tasty but really was expecting a true conveyor belt rotation of fast prepared items not an order on a iPad and then it comes to you on a conveyor.Decor is very modern and clean and the staff is also really nice. Location is prime and they have an abundant amount of seating as well. Will return again soon!
August 11 · JI went here 2 times w the same friend and we were very satisfied for the price. We paid 64 dollars each after tip and tax but we had sososo much to eat. My favorite has to be the salmon and eel nigiri. Although the fish to rice ratio is def 1:2. They had a good verity of sushi nigiri, classic and special rolls, hand rolls, noodles, and appetizers. Service was pretty decent, nothing too special but good overall experience. The music was all kpop, but for some reason when we went the 2nd time it was only BlackPink. We were struggling to find an ayce sushi place in Manhattan and this is the one to go to. Thank you, we will be coming back!!
September 14 · Winnie JiangI'm really happy that I stopped in this place . Actually, I was just walking by and wanted to try. The reviews were good, and I understand why. So Saturday evening, no waiting . This place has two menus. One is $50 for all you can eat. The second menu is a la carte, but I can say the price is very conservative. Anyway, the atmosphere was pretty empty, but maybe this place is concerned about food. The food is just amazing, everything is fresh and great. The service I like too. So I will definitely stop by next time.
