★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went to Gospel with a group of 4 minimum spend was $250, and we ended up spending around $330 total. We each had two drinks, but honestly, the cocktails didn’t really hit the mark. Just not very flavorful, and nothing we’d go back for. The service, on the other hand, was great. The staff was attentive and super polite, which we appreciated. The vibe of the place wasn’t exactly what we expected either, it didn’t feel very classy, more like a scene that’s trying hard to be trendy but doesn’t quite get there. Also, the DJ that night just wasn’t our style, the music felt a bit all over the place and didn’t really set the mood.Overall, ok night, but not somewhere I’d rush back to.
June 13 · Namkwann (NK)Gospel is genuinely unlike any other nightlife spot in the city. The beautiful space has a cool, artistic vibe and a top-notch sound system. The music is fantastic, with a great mix of deep house and other genres that kept the energy high all night. While the crowd can be a bit exclusive, this is the spot if you're looking for a sophisticated and high-energy place to dance and people-watch. The drinks are well-made and the staff is professional. It's an excellent place for a memorable night out.
August 02 · Oded HakerI had the best experience at Gospel tonight and I cannot emphasize enough how awesome that whole team is working on the inside. They work extra hard to make sure you have a good time and each and everyone of them are so kind and humble! Kudos to the whole management team! Definitely coming back 🙂
August 31 · Sneha ShettyAbsolutely disgusting experience. Hands down the most blatantly racist and disrespectful treatment I’ve ever encountered at any venue, anywhere. We arrived just minutes after some of our friends had already gotten into this so-called “club” without any issue. Their group? Three white guys and three white/asian girls. Entry fee for the guys? $100 each. Fine. But when our group—same gender ratio, all Asian—showed up shortly after, the man in the cowboy hat took one look at us and suddenly the price was $1,000 per guy. ONE. THOUSAND. DOLLARS. Just let that sink in.They didn’t even bother hiding it. It was clear they made up that number on the spot just to make sure we wouldn’t get in. Racist, plain and simple. But it didn’t stop there. When our friend (who had already paid and gotten in) came back out to meet us, we decided to just leave and find a better place. Instead of letting us walk away, the staff continued to harass us. The black bouncer on the left and the guy in the cowboy hat started yelling that we had to leave the public sidewalk outside their bar. PUBLIC PROPERTY. We told them we weren’t going anywhere—we were literally just trying to regroup and leave—but they kept escalating, trying to start a fight. They even threatened our friend who had paid by saying she wasn’t allowed back in anymore because we were “rude.” As if we were the problem. This place is elitist, xenophobic, and delusional about its importance. They treat people like garbage unless you fit their narrow, white-washed image of what a “desirable guest” looks like. Brooklyn has hundreds of better bars run by people who actually respect their patrons. DO NOT give this toxic establishment a dime. Let them rot in their own fake exclusivity.
July 05 · Jenhé BeeMy friend and I tried to go in, there was a line, and we waited. When we got closer, they asked if we had a reservation. We said no and asked how we could make a reservation, if not for today, then at least for next time. The women at the entrance ignored us, and the security guard started to explain us something, but the girl immediately told him to stop, pulled him aside, said something to him, so he stopped talking with us.When I tried asking again how we could make a reservation, the women turned her back to us and ignored us, as did the rest of the staff. I have never in my life received such disrespectful treatment from a place!! We felt humiliated. Ignoring us and turning their backs? This place is unprofessional and completely lacking in humanity.I thought to check other reviews and saw that this exact situation happened to others as well. Please read reviews before going there!! It’s a huge disgrace for a place to treat people so poorly and disrespectfully.I absolutely do not recommend this place, and I will never set foot there again, nor will my friends.
