Gotham Market at The Ashland Introduce
Welcome to Gotham Market at The Ashland, a vibrant and sophisticated culinary hub nestled in the heart of Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood. More than just a simple food court, this is an upscale, 16,000-square-foot food hall located at the base of the luxury residential tower, The Ashland. It has established itself as a premier destination in the Brooklyn Cultural District, bringing an eclectic mix of drinking and dining concepts to an area that truly needed it. It's a place where the borough's rich architectural history meets a modern, high-end dining experience, making it a natural gathering spot for residents, theater-goers, and sports fans alike.
The design, created by Jeffrey Beers International, pays a stunning tribute to Brooklyn’s industrial roots, featuring a stylish, yet raw, aesthetic. Patrons are greeted by a soaring 26-foot atrium and an interior marked by exposed concrete, brick, white subway tiles, and reclaimed wood. The space is flooded with light from floor-to-ceiling windows during the day, and in the evening, it becomes particularly striking with black steel pipe chandeliers featuring numerous hand-blown glass globes created by local artists from Urban Glass. This curated atmosphere elevates the dining experience far beyond the traditional idea of a food court. It functions not only as a convenient stop for a quick bite, but as a destination for groups and solo diners looking for quality and ambiance. It’s perfect for a casual lunch, an after-work cocktail, or a pre-show dinner before an event at the nearby Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) or a game at the Barclays Center, both of which are just a short distance away.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The service was wack I had a draft beer that tasted flat and wings that were fine. My friend met me at the bar and the bartender never even ask if she wanted to order.
September 24 · Ellie GaWill have to come back here. Came for cider week tasting and enjoyed the atmosphere. Mason jar chandelier! It gets busy here but the space is big enough to hold a lot of people. Tv’s we’re on so sports fan will enjoy this. The menu looked good but all the foods seemed very heavy, I guess typical for bbq fair. Will come for some of their sides and try the meat this winter.
October 28 · Nathalie DefrennePeaches Prime is very chilled. I enjoy the low lighting and the service is great, the staff are very friendly and attentive.
January 11 · Valerie SuarezGreat environment. Bright and airy, open space. The food though all have some issues. Had the Fried Chicken with two sides, beans and fries, from Flip bird. The Chicken was nicely fried, with crunchy exterior and juicy interior, but was way too salty. It was the same with the fries, way too salty. The beans with chorizo was great, however. Tried to order the crab cakes from Crabby Shack, but apparently they didn't have the batter ready so it wasn't available. Had their crab taco and shrimp taco instead. DIdn't care for the tortilla at all, it was kind of half fried, so it was chewy and not very good. The crab filling was excellent and the shrimp was ok.
February 26 · Steve Cheung4 great places to eat. I had Bolivian french fries, the Asian resturant dumplings, strong drinks and wings from the bar. A great place to do work and relax.
