My family and I dined in at Greek Taverna this weekend and had such a wonderful experience!First, the food was delicious and flavorful as always — I dream about their grilled haloumi and eggplant spread (melitzanosalata).The team at Greek Taverna is also consistently trying new dishes and “twists” to existing recipes to spice up the menu, which makes it fun to see what they have changed!Last but not least, the service is phenomenal. The team just opened up a new party room for guests, which is perfect for more intimate family gatherings, birthdays, showers, etc.We are looking forward to going back again soon!

Everything you want in a Greek restaurant and more! I absolutely loved everything I ate. Delicious!We walked in on a busy Saturday night without a reservation and they were kind enough to find a table. Our service was nothing short of perfect. Waters always full and a delightful attentive wait person.Very affordable for such generous portions! Definitely get the hummus, it was fresh and so good. Would definitely return! 5 stars!

From the grilled calamari to the lamb shank the spicy hummus was a little on the too salty side the pita was very good and my lamb gyro was not seasoned enough. The customer service was "outstanding, though." Everyone was top notched. Give them a try folks, the lamb shank/risotto is amazingly savory.I suggested cooking classes, I certainly would be there if they offer them.Oh, and a shout out to the Monclair Jazz Festival which was directly across the street. :0)

We reserved a table of 8 for 11:30 on a Saturday morning. It was quiet and the wait staff were very welcoming. Our food came quickly and it was delicious. Great choices from the lunch special menu- all served with fries (fried potato chips)- gyro sandwiches, falafel sandwiches, chicken wrap and a shrimp wrap. The seafood appetizer was fresh and flavorful. The complimentary cookies at the end of the meal were delicious.

We were blown away by Greek Taverna and highly recommend them for all catering events! Harry was a PHENOMENAL catering partner and will truly take care of you and your guests.My (now) husband and I were planning a welcome party for the night before our wedding, and we were looking for a catering partner to work with. I had been to Greek Taverna several times, and the food and service were always spectacular!We called, were connected with Harry, and knew we were immediately put in good hands. Harry and his team invited us in for an amazing tasting, helped us refine our menu to fit the dietary considerations of every single one of our guests, and they truly went **above and beyond** for the event.The food was delicious, the entire team was so kind, friendly, and helpful, and we can't wait for an excuse to work with them again!
