HaSalon Introduce
In a city renowned for its world-class dining, HaSalon stands out not just as a restaurant, but as a culinary and social spectacle. Located in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, this Israeli restaurant offers a truly unique experience, a departure from traditional fine dining. Under the creative direction of renowned Chef Eyal Shani, HaSalon brings the spirited energy of Tel Aviv to New York, transforming a dinner into a vibrant, multi-sensory event. It's an upscale and trendy destination, a place where the food is celebrated with as much passion as the atmosphere itself.
HaSalon operates on a distinctive concept, offering two separate dining experiences each evening. The early seating is a more tranquil and focused affair, allowing guests to savor the innovative dishes and appreciate the culinary artistry in a serene environment. As the night progresses, however, the restaurant undergoes a metamorphosis. The music gets louder, the energy rises, and the space transforms into a full-blown celebration, complete with dancing on tables, flying napkins, and a palpable sense of communal joy. This unique duality makes HaSalon a must-visit for those seeking a dining experience that is both gastronomically impressive and genuinely exhilarating.
The menu, which changes daily based on what is freshest and in season, is a testament to Chef Shani's philosophy of treating food as art. Dishes are designed to be shared, creating a communal dining experience that encourages connection and conversation. From delicate seafood carpaccios to robust, grilled meats and inventive vegetable creations, every dish tells a story. The combination of its exceptional cuisine and one-of-a-kind atmosphere has made HaSalon one of New York's most coveted reservations, a place where people come not just to eat, but to celebrate life.

---## Services Offered
HaSalon operates with a very specific and intentional service model, focused on creating a curated experience for its guests.
Dine-in Only: HaSalon is a dine-in only establishment. Its format is centered around the communal and atmospheric experience it provides, which cannot be replicated through takeout or delivery.
Reservations Required: Due to its high demand and limited seating, reservations are required. The restaurant strongly recommends making a reservation well in advance, especially for weekend dinner slots. This ensures a spot at one of the city's most exclusive dining experiences.
Two Distinct Seatings: The restaurant offers two separate dining options each night it is open. The early seating is a more tranquil experience, while the later seating is a full-blown party, with the atmosphere building to a climax of music and dancing. This unique model allows patrons to choose the kind of experience they are looking for.
Full Bar Service: HaSalon features a bar onsite with an impressive selection of alcohol, beer, cocktails, and hard liquor. The bar is a central part of the experience, offering creative concoctions that complement the adventurous food menu. The restaurant is particularly praised for its great cocktails and a carefully curated wine list.
## Features and Highlights
HaSalon’s true appeal lies in its extraordinary features and the one-of-a-kind experience it offers, setting it apart from any other restaurant in New York.
Unforgettable Atmosphere: The most significant highlight is the atmosphere. Described as trendy, upscale, and cozy, the vibe is lively and theatrical, especially during the later seating. The restaurant turns into a late-night celebration, with a DJ, dancing, and a contagious energy that turns a dinner into a party. It's a place where guests are encouraged to let loose and be part of the show.
Innovative, Ever-Changing Menu: The menu changes daily, based on the freshest ingredients available. This ensures that every visit is a unique culinary adventure. Dishes are often presented in surprising ways, with cryptic names like "Turbot in Fedex Envelope" and "Hell's Chicken." This focus on spontaneity and seasonality keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting.
Communal and Shareable Dishes: The menu is built around small plates and larger dishes meant for sharing, fostering a sense of community. This approach allows groups to sample a wide variety of the chef's creations, from delicate carpaccios and crudos to large-format roasted meats.
Exceptional Beverage Program: The restaurant is known for its high-quality beverage selections. The great cocktails and a curated wine list perfectly complement the bold flavors of the Israeli-inspired cuisine. This is a place where both foodies and cocktail enthusiasts will feel right at home.
Ideal for Special Occasions: HaSalon is the perfect venue for a special occasion. Its unique atmosphere and celebratory nature make it a top choice for birthdays, bachelorette parties, and other milestones where you want more than just a great meal—you want a memorable event.

It's a destination for those who appreciate fine food but also crave a fun, celebratory environment.
The food itself is a compelling reason to visit. Chef Shani's unique approach and commitment to fresh, local ingredients result in dishes that are both inventive and deeply flavorful. While some might find the pricing high, many customers see it as a justifiable cost for the quality and creativity of the food. The ever-changing menu ensures that even regulars will find something new and exciting to try with each visit. For adventurous eaters, the array of dishes, from "Octopus Carpaccio On The Rocks" to "Mushroom Steak," provides a thrilling culinary journey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I took a star out because it’s WAY too expensive. That being said the food was all amazing. Each dish was so good. I especially loved the mushroom steak. And the lemon gnocchi was insanely good we had to order more. The drinks are good but not amazing. But I wouldn’t come here unless you are celebrating something special like a birthday because it’s more about the party atmosphere which is so fun. They start the party at 10:45 so I recommend coming earlier to eat.
May 10 · Neha LuthraI am surprised to see ANY negative reviews. I just celebrated my best friends Bachelorette Party here this past weekend. Everything was spectacular…Service, food, atmosphere, etc! All I had to do was give our server the slightest glance & they were back with a fresh glass of bubbly within secs. To say our expectations were exceeded is an understatement. Well worth the price since it wasn’t just a dinner…it was truly an experience! Highly recommend for any special occasion. Only negative I could assume is the environment is def curated by the patrons along with staff. This collective was not shy! Dancing on tables, napkins in air, confetti tossing, & plate smashing GALORE!
August 05 · Kaitlin FerraraIt makes sense to come here for the later reservation to enjoy the few hours before closing, because that’s when the music turns up and people start dancing. I can’t say the food was bad — it wasn’t spectacular — some things (like the steak) were delicious, while others were meh. But I can definitely say that it was overpriced. We eat dinner in NYC all the time — if you charge like $50 for small apps, I have certain expectations, and they are not met when it’s 1/2 of a potato with sour cream. The portions were comically small, and we were starving despite ordering more than what the waitress recommended. Ended up getting pizza across the street after. Good pizza, but that’s sad after you’ve spent a few bills per person at a restaurant. The cocktails were good and the wine list had very good options. I got the feeling that the food isn’t really their “thing” — it’s like a cover charge for groups of people to come and get drunk and dance, around others who can afford it. People were getting up on the tables and chairs and dancing, after the evening reached a certain point. It was a pretty fun experience, especially if you don’t expect it. I would recommend this place for a larger group that wants to drink, dance, and snack, but not for dinner or restaurant/food enthusiasts.
February 02 · Vasiliy KulakovWell, this place is quite unique — not so much for the food, but for the incredible ambiance. People were singing and dancing on tables, the waiters offered us shots and were super friendly, and we ended up chatting with lots of other guests. We had a great time and shared a lot of laughs! That said, it’s definitely overpriced. We spent $500 for two people, which feels steep considering the food was just okay — good, but not remarkable. The first bottle of wine starts at $105, though I have to admit the Mercurey we chose was excellent ($135, compared to about €60 online, so fair enough). In conclusion, if you’re looking for a wild, festive night out and you’re not too worried about the bill, this spot delivers on atmosphere and fun. Just don’t come expecting culinary excellence.
April 19 · Franck DuffaudI had an amazing time at HaSalon NYC! We managed to get a last-minute reservation, and despite how busy the night was, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was outstanding—just as great as I remember from the original restaurant in Tel Aviv. The energy, the atmosphere, and the overall experience made it a perfect spot for a birthday or any kind of celebration.
