What is Worth Choosing
For a first-time visitor or a returning local eager to sample the best of what Himalaya Tibetan Momo offers, the selection can be narrowed down to a few essential culinary experiences. The restaurant's popularity centers squarely on its namesake: the Momo. Trying the Momo (homemade soup dumplings) is non-negotiable, offering a perfect introduction to the savory, seasoned filling and delicate wrapper that characterizes authentic Tibetan dumplings. It’s a favorite for a reason, often chosen in either beef, chicken, or the delicious Veg Momo variation, and always served with a flavorful, often spicy, dipping sauce.
Another high-priority choice, especially on a cool day, is the Mothuk. This is the ultimate comfort food, featuring those same delicate dumplings submerged in a clear, heartwarming bone broth. It’s a full meal in a bowl, balancing the rich flavor of the broth with the textural satisfaction of the dumplings and vegetables. Following a recommendation from an enthusiastic local, the Chili Chicken is also a must-try for those who enjoy a little heat and bold flavor. It's lauded as 'cooked perfectly and super tasty,' providing a satisfying kick that is a testament to the Tibetan-style chili preparation.
Finally, noodle enthusiasts should absolutely opt for a bowl of Thenthuk. Unlike the uniform noodles in other Asian cuisines, Thenthuk's signature hand-pulled, flat noodles give the soup a distinct, rustic heartiness that is authentically Tibetan. This dish provides a deep, warming satisfaction and showcases the traditional art of Tibetan noodle-making.
Whether you are seeking a light, healthy meal, a substantial portion of comfort food, or simply a chance to sample the vibrant and unique flavors of authentic Tibetan cuisine, Himalaya Tibetan Momo in Nyack stands out as a rewarding and highly-rated destination in the New York dining landscape. Its commitment to quality, its welcoming service, and its distinct menu make it a truly special find.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was great. We ordered the momos, fried rice, and hand pulled noodles. Every item was tasty. The staff was friendly and helped to play with our baby when she was fussing, so that we could eat properly. Food was cooking fairly quickly too.
September 25 · Koh CindyVisited this restaurant for the first time this evening and had dinner. Place is clean, cozy, and well decorated. Started with the spring rolls for the appetizer. They were crisp and delicious. For dinner, we had the chicken momo and the chilli chicken. Both were cooked perfectly and super tasty. Service was great. A great meal at a great value. We will definitely be back.
August 16 · MikeDelicious food. You also have options to make it more hotter. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Best Momo’s I had after a long. Sounds like my new favorite go to Thai restaurant.
May 27 · Akshaya JagadaleExcellent food, vibe, and service! The dishes were very authentic. We opted for a fully vegan version 🌱. The Then-Thuk soup was amazing, made with vegetable broth instead of beef broth, and was incredibly flavorful with a rich, thick potato-based broth featuring fresh vegetables. The spicy tofu was spicy and delicious! The mushroom momos were superb! The atmosphere was authentic, intimate, and cozy.
March 24 · Galit MorAlready can’t wait to come back here and get every momo on the menu and more. Such a five-star place with incredible fresh and homemade chicken momos and ginger-tumeric-honey-lemon iced tea! Arrived on a sweltering day just before a rainstorm, and hanging here playing cards and feasting on momos and soup was pretty divine. Shoutout to Amy who gave us great recommendations and was so helpful.5 stars!!!
