Staff members stop by to introduce themselves and offer their services.The food was quite unique. You need to be a little adventurous when eating here but rest assured you’ll be getting only the freshest and in season ingredients Everything was prepared perfectly with a beautiful presentation. We loved the constant interaction with the chefs while they explained what they were serving and how it was prepared. The drinks were superbly created and delicious, and the atmosphere of the lounge was warm and inviting. A definite one of a kind experience you won’t want miss!

I appreciate this concept of dining where only in season ingredients are used as it showcases each item on the plate best qualities. The fish is fresh and handled respectfully.In addition to the food, the transformation the inside of this restaurant took is clearly visible. The decor is clean and classy. The private upstairs bar is beautiful and tastefully done.

From the minute I got there it was clear I was going to have a next level experience.The entire staff was focused on making sure l had an amazing experience. I started with a drink at the bar which was expertly crafted by Erik - who had a vast knowledge and ability with craft cocktails well beyond his years. Then we were seated for the Omakase experience. The chefs created an amazing menu. One item topped the next. My server, Lisa, was incredible. She provided expert information and guidance on the courses while seamlessly serving. This was definitely a special treat and not to be missed! Who needs to go to Manhattan when you have a gem like House of Yoshin right here on Long Island?

From our valet that handled parking, to Roxy and Alex who saw to our every whim in the dining area, to our chefs and our bartenders, it was clear that the focus of the staff was to actively seek opportunities to deliver an exceptional dining experience.So, what exactly is Kaiseki? Kaiseki is a multi-course Japanese meal, elevated to an art form. A staggering amount of effort goes into the design of each dish, the planning of the menu as a whole, and the presentation/plating of each course.The Kaiseki Counter was our front-row seat to watch Chefs Ishizaki and Dome, two affable professionals dedicated to pursuing perfection of their art. Somehow, they magically balance guest interaction with the meticulous preparation and presentation of each dish. The atmosphere here is modern, traditional and immaculate, yet it effortlessly manages a warm and friendly vibe. I forged an immediate connection to the space, in part thanks to the texture and warmth of the wooden counter from which we excitedly watched our chefs work.My desire to document the evening with my camera had to take a backseat to the need to experience our chef's creations without delay, upon arrival, and at the peak of each dish's beauty and designed temperature. Some things are divine and ephemeral, and as such, must be shown due respect. I resigned myself to taking “mental screenshots” in order to remain in the moment, and present to absorb this extraordinary experience. In keeping with the tradition of Kaiseki, every component of each course was carefully and thoughtfully curated. Exotic imported items like black truffle, A5 Wagyu, baby squid, and Japanese Sea Bream were married with locally sourced ingredients at the peak of their seasonal perfection. Yoshin's Kaiseki menu is a commitment to the presentation of fine delicacies, prepared employing an array of cooking methods, and served on tableware harmonious with the offering. Each of the six courses was exquisite, unique, and served to pique our interest for what lay ahead. The meal's crescendo, an apple sweet bun served with made-in-house ice cream was a subtle, yet delicious symphony of flavors and textures. With a final sip of Hoji tea, we begrudgingly bid farewell to our chefs and retired to the lounge for a cocktail and a snack!The bar area is especially intimate, bathed in warm lighting, it has a dignified, luxurious feel; here we sipped handcrafted cocktails from our cozy, quiet booth. An assortment of gorgeous small plates is available to accompany your libation, all prepared with the same skillful attention to detail. Here I enjoyed the finest espresso martini I've ever had. Bursting with rich, dark, freshly roasted flavor and garnished with a wisp of espresso cotton candy [see pics], it was enough to bring a tear to the eye of this jaded javaphile.A very special thank you to our host Scott for making this memorable evening possible for my mother and me. March 20 · Don BallanI was lucky enough to be able to try this restaurant during their soft opening. When you first walked in you were greeted with a friendly host who offered to take your jacket. Then she politely took me to the bar where my friend was waiting for me. The bartender was able to suggest a drink for me based on my personal preference and made suggestions. He did not disappoint. We started the night with some devil eggs with caviar. Finally here comes the main event. We were lead to the chiefs bar and we eagerly waited for our food. Soon the chief started. Let me tell you! Every dish came out beautifully and delicious. Every dish was timed perfectly leaving me wanting more. The ingredients they used were definitely top notch. You can taste the freshness in the food. The staff was also very professional and explain every dish to us. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
