What makes Jerk Pan Food Truck 2 a worthwhile choice? It’s the combination of authentic flavors, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. While one customer found the stew chicken to be "flavorless," another review provided a more nuanced perspective, mentioning that while the stew chicken wasn't spicy, they "liked the sweeter flavor" and appreciated the logic of offering a less hot option for a broad audience. This second review highlighted the availability of excellent pepper sauce with a "scotch bonnet flavor and heat," which perfectly caters to those who do prefer a spicier kick. This shows that the truck is willing to accommodate different palates, giving customers the control to customize their level of heat.
Furthermore, the portion sizes are generous, as one customer noted that the medium stewed chicken lunch with plantains and rice was "a great portion and could probably be two meals for some." This emphasis on providing substantial, satisfying meals makes it an excellent value for the price. The menu also offers a wide variety of options, from well-known dishes like jerk chicken and oxtail to delicious sides and tropical drinks, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Despite any differing opinions on specific flavors, the friendly service and generous portions make Jerk Pan Food Truck 2 a reliable and enjoyable stop for anyone looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine in the heart of New York.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The lunch special was a bit small for a lunch for me but would probably be perfect for others. I got the medium stewed chicken lunch with plantains and rice which was a great portion and could probably be two meals for some. The stewed chicken was not very spicy and didn’t have a kick like I’ve had elsewhere but I liked the sweeter flavor and as a food truck serving a huge audience I get having a less hot option in comparison to jerk chicken or chicken curry. If you like heat or want to add more they have pepper sauce on the side with excellent scotch bonnet flavor and heat.
October 03 · Alexander BenjaminHonestly I wanted to like the food but the strew chicken I got was very flavorless (not much spices). Glad I tried it at least once. Just not for me. Very nice people.
October 02 · Sadia NaharAll I can say is wow! I ordered fried chicken with rice & peas and oxtail gravy. I felt like I was eating from my grandma’s kitchen. Everything was superb!
May 20 · Khadijia BulliI have been going to this spot for last two years, and I've never been disappointed the food is always amazing. I had the Oxtail, Curry Goat, Jerk Chicken, and the Jerk Pork all amazing. Don't mentioned the Stew Peas on Wednesday and Thursday super delicious. 😋 😍 👌
