October 15 · Ali ZeeshanI think we found our new favorite spot for pizza in Stamford! John the Baker is one of those places I passed by often and wondered about, and what we found was a super family friendly, no frills spot that serves all the classic Italian dishes you could want. They haven’t changed their pizza recipe in the over 60 years they’ve been in business, which is a testament to how great their pizza is! We were happy with everything we had, and the clam appetizer was super tasty too. Loved that you could pick out any pasta with any kind of sauce as a pairing with your entree, and we were impressed to see they had a full bar too. All of the dishes arrived quickly to our table, and we were in and out within an hour. So glad we stopped in!
December 04 · Food of CTFirst time here and service was great, pleasant and very accommodating. I will say the pizza wasn't my favorite but to be fair, I'm a New Yorker and not too many States can claim that title. The Penne Alla John was excellent with Broccoli Rabe and sun-dried tomatoes with chicken. Very nice family setting. Definitely recommend!
April 24 · LES45I came here for my father in laws birthday lunch and the food here really surpassed my expectations, every single dish was so delicious, very generous portions and the best was the homemade sauces and everything else. I could feel the freshness in all the ingredients and I was extremely satisfied as well with the waiter, who catered all of us with patience and kindness. My favorite dish was the chicken parmigiana, honestly I did not eat one this good in years! The bread basket offered at the beginning was also so fresh and baked to perfection.I would def come back to eat pizza and try more dishes when I am back in the area.
February 27 · Andrea MunozMy father and I were looking for an open place to grab a slice after soccer and was recommended this spot. It was a great choice. There is a huge variety of options, the staff couldn't have been nicer, and they let us customize our own meal with no issue. We decided on getting a pizza and it only took about 5 minutes. The pizza here is now one of my favorites and I can not wait to come back. 10/10 highly recommend!
