What is Worth Choosing
What truly makes a local deli in a place like Rockville Centre "worth choosing" often comes down to the combination of convenience and character. For Kaival Deli, the key selling proposition is its commitment to efficient, friendly, and honest service. While one customer did report a negative experience concerning payment method and perceived overcharging for a specific breakfast item, the overwhelming sentiment from other local patrons points toward a highly positive service experience. The incident, while unfortunate for the customer, speaks to an issue of clear communication, which is something that can be addressed in any business setting.
However, the counter-narrative of integrity is a powerful one. An act of honesty, like recovering and holding onto a lost phone, builds an extraordinary amount of trust within a community. In a local New York setting, where people frequently visit the same establishments every day, trust and reliability are paramount. Kaival Deli appears to be a location where you can be assured of professional conduct and a genuine effort from the staff.
Choosing Kaival Deli is choosing the convenience of a quick visit, the reliability of a local business that values honesty, and the welcoming atmosphere provided by respectful staff. It’s an ideal choice for anyone prioritizing a neighborhood spot with a strong reputation for excellent customer conduct and a speedy service model.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Avoid. Says nothing about a debit card being an issue, guy gave me hard time for not having cash or buying more items. In retaliation, he proceeds to over charged me for bacon egg, no cheese. Price clearly says $4.99, you have to assume no cheese is at least 50 cents less, charged 6 dollars. I called him out. He points to 4.99 for bacon, egg and cheese. Again, no cheese, and even with tax that's over charging. Malicious. Could have been honest, whether it's an extra fee or not. Also Skimped on the bacon, sandwich sucked. Avoid.
May 15 · Michael KleinmanI have been going to this a deli for more than a year. The guys are really nice, respectful and professional. I forgot my phone there once and they ran outside calling to get my attention. I didn’t realize the calling was directed at me so I didn’t turn around. Turned out, they were calling me to tell me that I left my phone. I called them some time in the afternoon after discovering that my phone was missing and they were nice enough to hold on to the phone for me until I was able to pick it up later that day.
June 21 · AnjelI wouldn't even classify this place as a Deli. More of a Newsstand/ rural gas station convenience store where the same items have been sitting on the shelves since 1947.All that in mind...... Kaival Can't Cook! There coffee is so bad, after one sip, you'll want to vomit! The egg sandwich they served me was so rancid smelling I dared not take a single bite! I've been in dumps like this one before. But this is the first place I was scared to try the food!
