For a truly unforgettable experience at Kaizen, the omakase is the clear choice. The seasonal 8-course or 15-course Premium Selection Omakase allows the chef to showcase the highest quality seasonal fish and a range of unique Japanese dishes, making each visit a new adventure. Sitting at the sushi counter for this experience allows you to watch the chef in action and learn more about each course, as one reviewer mentioned. For a complete luxury experience, the $45 sake flight is a perfect accompaniment.
If you prefer a more a la carte dining experience, the hand rolls are a must-try. The menu is divided into "Signature Handrolls," "Classic Handrolls," and "Premium Handrolls," offering options for all tastes and budgets. The Scallop Truffle XO Sauce Hand Roll and the Akami Tofu Chili Hand Roll are particularly intriguing, showcasing the restaurant's creativity. The Otoro Uni Hand Roll is a premium option that combines two of the most sought-after seafood items. For a lunchtime treat, the Lunch Set (5 Hand Rolls) for $25 is an excellent value that provides a comprehensive taste of what Kaizen has to offer.
Beyond the sushi, the appetizers are not to be overlooked. The Miso Black Cod and Japanese Honey Glazed Ribs are highly-praised cooked items that highlight the kitchen's versatility. For a comforting rice bowl, the Unagi Don is a classic choice, and the Wagyu Fried Rice is a unique and indulgent option. The dessert menu, though small, also offers decadent choices like the Black Forest Cheesecake to round out your meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Was there at 5pm on a Thursday for their $100 Omakase meal. The restaurant has a nice decor. We sat at the sushi bar and was able to watch the sushi chef prepare the courses. Fresh pickled ginger cubes were provided to clear the palate. He also gave us additional information on some of the dishes. The food was very good, fresh seafood, and good service. My husband also had the $45 saki flight which he enjoyed.
August 01 · Cheryl WooThis was an amazing experience with even better company. I came here with my friends and the fish was so fresh. Everyone was so kind to us and introduced every hand role. I’ve had sushi many places and I must say, this was amazing!!The owner was so kind and knowledgeable!I definitely want to come back!
June 21 · Samantha VelezCame for the NYC Restaurant Week Omakase set! Came with a decent amount of sushi which was all really good quality. I also really enjoyed the mushrooms in the miso soup. Overall was a good experience. The decor of the restaurant was quite nice, however as we arrived close to opening it was a bit quiet for the large space.
August 17 · Kate Maonew chef still great service and atmosphere. terry and felicia and sunny and rob are the best ! loved the pacing of the courses and conversation i had with other guests at the sushi bar. always a great time
August 30 · R CCEI came to Kaizen Omakase last night while in town for the Ryder Cup, since I’m staying at the hotel right next door. I’m so glad I decided to stop in—it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The ambience is stunning, especially the giant Sakura tree at the sushi bar, which really sets the tone for a special evening. It was very busy when we arrived, but our server, Terry, was extremely professional, attentive, and apologetic about the wait. His service made us feel well taken care of, and we didn’t mind waiting thanks to the lively atmosphere and great cocktails. The Kaizen Lycheetini, in particular, was refreshing and delicious. The omakase itself was fantastic—every course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Kaizen delivered an outstanding dining experience that I’d recommend to anyone in the area.
