★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been to Lazy Sister in Norwalk twice now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots. The first time, I didn’t have a reservation but they were kind enough to seat us at the bar, which was actually super comfortable. If you’re planning to go with a group, I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance.A nice touch is that the restaurant will call you a few hours before your reservation to confirm. Just a heads-up, if you don’t confirm, you risk losing your table, and they won’t seat you until your entire party has arrived.Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are several nearby garages, so plan ahead. The service is always amazing, the servers are genuinely sweet and super attentive. The food is delicious! I absolutely love the crispy beef and the fried rice, and the drinks are also fantastic. It does get a little dark inside and can get noisy since the place is usually packed (which to me is a great sign!). I wouldn’t complain about the wait at all because the staff is on top of everything and very attentive.I definitely will be returning and plan to do takeout too. I love this place — 10/10 recommend!
October 12 · Carla ArzaI would give zero if that was a choice because of false advertisement. This is definitely not Chinese restaurant and it's an insult to the Chinese for calling it that. The chef is not Chinese. Nothing about this restaurant is Chinese down to their sauce! I read the reviews here but to be honest, you cannot review a restaurant as good Chinese restaurant unless you actually been to good Chinese restaurants in New York City, Canada or Asia. I should have went with my instinct and turn around and leave the second I sat down. The $8 egg rolls were definitely not Asian at all. Bland, greasy and made for Americans. The $14 soup dumpling was a joke. No different than the soup dumplings I get from Trader Joe's. Tap water literally taste like tap water. Least you can do is put it through a purifier. I asked few times to make sure the pork chops are made as pork chops. I was told that it was sliced pork chops with rice. So as you can see with the pictures I have provided, what I see is $21 of shredded pork. The ribs $16 was a joke. Flavor was salty and very off. You can't make these dishes without proper Chinese sauce. Thank God I went with better judgement and not ordered the General Tso cause I would have been livid if it was store bought General Tso sauce. Definitely won't recommend this place for Chinese food because The only thing authentic and I agree on this restaurant was the words on the window EFFORTLESS MADE CHINESE FOOD.
October 21 · LES45We had an amazing experience at Lazy Sister! The mei fun noodles and dry pot style beef were absolutely delicious—bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was super chill, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy your meal. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!
June 18 · Gabriela Neblock🍜 Review: Lazy Sister – Tasty, Trendy, but Bring a Backup SnackIf you're looking for a Chinese food spot that feels hip but still hits most of the flavor marks, Lazy Sister might just be your next foodie adventure. Just don’t show up starving or expecting leftovers.Let’s start with the vibes — laid-back, kind of cool without trying too hard. A solid date-night or “let’s pretend we’re cultured and try something new” kind of place.✅ The Good StuffThe martini? Not so good. The New England Sea Hag IPA? A bold, bitter beauty. Great pick for IPA lovers. The Mongolian beef and General Tso’s chicken both delivered that sticky-sweet-salty satisfaction. Classic hits, done right.Pork fried rice was fluffy, savory, and not greasy — no complaints. The pan-fried pork dumplings? Golden outside, juicy inside. Little flavor bombs.Duck buns — delicious flavor, but… more like duck bites. I needed at least 3 more to feel emotionally fulfilled.📉 The “Hmm” StuffPortion sizes lean toward minimalist. The duck buns in particular are tasty but leave you wondering if you just had an appetizer or a duck-themed prank. It’s a bit overpriced for what you get — especially if you’re coming in hungry or planning to share.👀 Bottom Line:Everything we tried was genuinely good to great — there’s clear care in the cooking, and the flavors are there. But bring a friend with low expectations on portion size or prepare to hit up a second dinner spot after. 😅Would I go back? Yeah. Would I recommend it? Also yeah — with a disclaimer. If you’re out exploring new spots and want me to check one out for the squad, drop it in the comments. I’m always down for the next bite. 🍽️🔥
July 26 · Romero EspadaGreat fairly new restaurant in the SONO area. One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Our server, Megan was great and very attentive. In addition she provided us with recommendations-the sesame chicken was our favorite and the portions were reasonable. I highly recommend to anyone in the area, only thing to change would be to have laminated menus.
